A bit out of Blades context, but for those of you who have journeyed beyond this thread's subject line, I'm guessing you remember how gorgeous Sheffield's very own Taggy's "Full Butter Milk" Ice Cream was?!?
Sadly the original disappeared, along with its recipe, decades ago. I thought it was completely a thing of the past until I stumbled across it's taste again recently!
Basically, Ice Cream Union produces an identical (Fior di Latte) product in terms of look (pale yellow off-white), texture and taste.
No surprise that Taggy's would have been a butter milk slant on an original Italian recipe.
Currently only available in its South East & South West London cafes; so an additional away day treat for our upcoming trips to Millwall and QPR respectively!
Locations: https://www.icecreamunion.com/#contact
Full range, including their important 'Fior di Latte' Taggy's equivalent (bottom of page two): https://www.icecreamunion.com/docs/flavour-list-by-the-ice-cream-union.pdf
Enjoy!
