Where is the best place to get a Blades tattoo? All I'm really wanting is the 2 Crossed Blades and maybe something below it.

Cheers

I have this tattoo on my upper arm,Sheffield United F.C above the Blades and 1889 underneath.

I was stood next to a young lad outside the ground last Saturday who had the badge tattooed on the back of both hands. Never seen that before. Not into tats at all but it makes sense to have something that will be important to you for life than just some passing whim or fashion that's here today gone tomorrow.

Why not put today's league table below it? Just the bottom three should do with a nice dotted line above the third from bottom. It's kind of aspirational and encapsulates everything about being a Blade

Four go down from this division...

If you must have one, I'd suggest the bottom of your foot. That way it'll only be on show when you're asleep, sunbathing or dead.

England across a Union flag? Interesting choice. Why not the English flag? Or why not have "United Kingdom", seeing as it's the flag of the UK?

In the 60's and 70' no-one made any real distinction between England and the UK. At the 1966 and 1970n World Cups the Union Flag was paraded as England's flag. It took the rise of Scottish and Welsh nationalism for most English people to realise that the Union Flag wasn't the flag of England.

post #14 ..... surely enuff t put every uvver fooker finkin abart it off ever avin one ....

I despair, i really do. If you must have a football related tattoo, go for something classy. Like "come on you red and white wizards" in ancient egyptian hieroglyphics. Be careful how you get it translated though, would be really rather embarassing bumping into the ghost of Tutankhamun and being told you've really got "netto beans buy one get one free" tattooed on your arm.

To prove there's no fool like an old fool, I had this done last year to 'celebrate' 50 years of Blade-dom.* (C'mon, how many birds last that long?)

* hence the '1962' instead of the 1889 & the '50'.

Honestly, it looks better 'in the flesh' than 'in the flash'.

Erm, who are Sheffield Untied????

Having had a very classy "S.U.F.C" on my hand for over 20 years I decided to have it removed earlier this year.
New work responsibilities fueled the decision, removing it after all this time did bring a tinge of sadness but in hindsight the hand wasn't the best place to have it in the first place.
I still have the club badge on my shoulder though.

Not into tats but the only one I might have ever considered is a small trio of words under my right arse cheek.

"Made in Sheffield"

simple but effective, methinks.
