Next season we're going to need a versatile squad if we're going to do well. I think Wilder likes players to be adaptable in games. With that in mind, I'd like to see us sign the following:

LWB: Jay Da Silva (loan) - Chelsea left back in the Ashley Cole / Ryan Bertrand mould. Would offer the opposite attributes to Lafferty and be better as a wing back than a full back.

CB: Turner (released by Norwich) Probably a slightly older head in there to play in the middle of a back 3. Basically an upgrade on Wright. If not Turner, someone with a CV like his.

RWB: Darikwa - To challenge Freeman for his spot, but can play anywhere down the right.

CDM: Morsy - To play alongside Fleck and do the dirty work to let the midfielders do their thing, or if we're playing 4 at the back, he'd play in front of the centre halves to protect them.

CF/LW: Maddison - Peterborough striker is available for a fee. I can see us playing one up top a fair few games so he'd be ideal coming in off the left and supporting the lone striker.

That'd be 5 signings, 6 with Ched.

With these players making up the squad, we'd be able to play two formations comfortably, with 2 players for every position. If we're going 4 at the back, I'd expect us to be careful with the setup. Playing Freeman / Darikwa at right midfield to offer protection and allow Brayford to go past him.

Loan out: Reed, Brooks, Whiteman.

That still leaves Hanson and Clarke as other options from the bench and would leave us with a squad of around 25, which Wilder wants, we've got options everywhere with balance and we haven't spent the earth. What players and systems would everyone else be happy with?

This is how we need to line up next season.

You're presuming we're not losing any of the current squad for a start. Fleck, Coutts, Duffy etc as good as they have been may need to make way

I've been reading the debates about changing formation etc. Looking at the back 4 formation there our defenders apart from JoC wouldn't hack it I don't think.

The 3412 will be tweaked I would guess. To sometimes a sitting midfielder instead of Duffy, or like play Chelsea with 2 wingers In behind.

The top 2 teams in England play variations of a formation like ours.

The players I've no idea but this formation and style of play has worked wonders. Will we be as attacking playing against Middlesbrough away? Of course not. The formation I don't think will change but it will be tweaked.

Can easily turn into a back 5 when we want to actually defend and hold out a lead but in Lg1 we normally try to score another 2!

As for Strikers:

Ched > McNulty
Done out someone else in, maybe a gamble?

Then I'd potentially try and loan a big name like Gallagher/Lawrence/ etc

Oh...you are joking. Thank god.
For a minute there I thought you were being serious.
Don't panic everyone, cancel the men in white coats, he was joking.

I'll stick to Crissy picking the team

He won't be picking any CDMs. Nonsense like that "does his head in' yet is still perpetuated by the chalkboarders and videolinedrawers on here when playing armchair manager.

I think 5-2-1-2 formation with wing backs set to overlap. One midfielder set to stay back, strikers set to run in behind and our attacking midfielder set to stay up front.

We should set Moore to take penalties then when he scores we can do a hilarious celebration with him whilst doing a lap of the pitch.

I'd also put a pace +10 card on Sharp for some games, and maybe some +10 everything attribute cards on our wing backs so they can bomb up and down the flanks like lightning all game.

If we start trading on the market early we could get enough coins to sign a few decent gold players. You can get the likes of Rashford, Marshall, Clyne, Kante for a few thousand coins and I think they'd improve us.

All things to think about.

Is that the new kit. Can I be the first to say I don't like it
