I'm no tactician but when you play 3/5/2 it seems to me you need your strikers to be playing at the top of the pitch...especially when the oppo come to frustrate you. I thought McBurnie did a lot of work but when hes dropping deep or going wide to get the ball theres nobody to get on the end of the crosses.
We put cross after cross into the box but the Brighton defence just ate them all up, partly because they are big bastsrds but also because we lacked numbers in the box. I think we need at least one forward who just stays central in these kind of games with the sole aim of getting on the end of crosses and through balls otherwise we are playing with 6 or 7 in midfield.
What happened with Moose today, he was stripped and ready to come on then was told to put his top back on. He was what we needed today to try something s bit different and get behind their immobile centre backs.
