Storing a pushchair while I watch the game

When my eldest was pushchair age, I refused to take him to the game because I felt it would impact on my enjoyment and I'm a selfish twat.
His Uncle did take him at this age though and he asked the people who ran the burger van in the car park (no clue if its still there) if he could stash the pram under their van :)

That child went on to be a top Norwegian footballer playing in Belgium and they named him after that event.

It’s ander berger!

(They dropped the “Van” though in case folks got confused and thought he was Dutch!).

My dad, bit old school, used to say that children were either "small enough to carry or big enough to walk ". He wasn't much keen on prams or pushchairs (buggies were something pulled by horses and driven by Amish people). The size of buggies these days, I do have some sympathy with that point of view.
Also, do fellow older Blades remember when it was ok to leave your pram outside a shop, with the baby in it!?!

I've used a bikelock a few times to lock my boy's pushchair up in a bikerack or to some railings or something like that. If you were doing that tomorrow you'd have to find somewhere under cover though with the rain.

Given you a like for getting "Amish" in a general Blades chat thread.

Im coming to match tomorrow with my 3 year old daughter just wondered if anyone knows of anywhere nearby I can store her pushchair while we go to the match have used copthorne hotel the previous 4 times but they got arsey with me last time because I wasnt staying there
On your shoulders mate!! Pushchair?????? she's a Blade we leave our prams where we want UTB

Indeed, 2 year old Miss Fox knows who to play that game with.

Mummy makes her walk the mile home from nursery, including up Meersbrook Park and will counter no grumbling or pulling.

With Daddy she magically loses the ability to use her legs after 50 yards and demands "shoulders".

Tough love from mum will sort the little princess out.

Soft dad bollocks goes without saying (I have a daughter). It's not her fault so go to to default status and blame Foxy

Wait a bloody minute, 3 and off to match. My son is 3 in March. Am I that bad a parent not taking him to match. Wait even worse am I that bad a blade.............time for a long walk and quiet word wi mi sen. Season ticket next year for knee biter

I used to put mine just behind the corner flag. Glyn Hodges once pushed it away and woke the Baby up, was fuckin fuming.

In fairness to the club there's 30,000 people coming. Even if a small proportion want a wheelchair, sticks, essential bag, pushchair, pyros, stanley knives, coke, etc storing, they'd be fucked.

Billy Sharp is always doing stuff for fans before when he arrives at 1pm. Tweet him and i bet he will stick it in boot of his car 😂

Midland Station Left Luggage, sure they have one, bus to Lane. Possibility, Transport Executive Pond St, do they have a Left Luggage Office? If so, same scenario, just check opening times.

Nah... Nowhere in the station to put one.

I had a look to see if there was anything at the bus station but apparently not.

Where are your tickets for? If you are in John Street, I took my grandson in his pushchair (it was about 10 years ago!), and the stewards let us go in through the disabled entrance and leave the pushchair just inside the door where some wheelchairs were left. Obviously they took no responsibility for it, but we never had a problem.

All closed/disposed of due to the risk of terrorists planting bombs in lockers, seriously. Same with the luggage lockers at Meadowhall interchange.

I used to put my gym clothes in one at Pond Street when I was at uni, the only terror threat with those lockers was putting something valuable in them because the locks were absolutely shocking. 2/3 times couldn't get back into them.

And that's why I'm a fat bastard now. All my gym clothes were lost to lockers at Sheffield Interchange.
