If it meant walking across the Peak District from the Potteries to South Yorkshire to yield a full-time move from Stoke City to Sheffield United, you'd sense Blades No.1 Steve Simonsen would have gladly done it.

The 31-year-old keeper is as happy as Larry at Bramall Lane, and after copping bench splinters at the Britannia Stadium last term, he is now very much the main man between the posts.
