Stephen Quinn

As good as he has been this season, nobody is indispensable. The club's wage bill is unsustainable, we are led to believe, so if the money is right, let him go.

I haven't seen the Blades yet this season, but judging from Keith Edwards' comments, Quinny is by no means perfect. He tends to hang on to the ball too long when an early cross would be better, and he also has a bit of a temper which could lead to suspensions. We saw last night that we have other midfielders who can score goals.

I'd be happy if he stays, but I trust Danny to be able to shuffle the pack to accommodate his absence, if necessary.

All about opinions m8 and whilst Edwards makes a valid point, it's no more valid than most other fans opinions.

I have only seen his home performance, although his write ups away from home put him as our most consistant player, with even SSN news commenting on his sensational form

Personally, he's been our best player by a mile, with more assists than any other player.

His work rate has been first class.

His link up play has been excellent

Whilst I concede he's made some wayward passes, it's only to be expected when he is constantly looking to get involved.

Negatives: His corners tend be shocking and I wish he'd just let some f'ker else take em who can actually reach the back post for a change!

Imho, letting him go, would put a serious dent in any chance we have of getting out of this division.

I agree to a certain extent B58, but I also think that if we give Quinn's role to someone like Tonne, we'll still get a healthy number of assists and goals from said player.

It'll be disappointing, but not disastrous.

If we're then able to bring in 2 or 3 players, then it will be necessary evil.

How times change. Only a few months ago he was being slated by the fans. I always felt this as very harsh, maybe Quinny was out of form in a team heading for relegation and took an unfair amount of the ill feeling at what was happening to our club.
I hope he stays, but when Kevin sniffs the money then there will only be one outcome. At least we seem to be holding out for a decent amount rather than getting shut at the firstderisory offer that is received.

Given our allegedly perilous financial state, it's more likely to be a case of it making good business sense to offload a £15k a week winger for £1m plus (cashflow benefit this year of £1.75m) if we can replace him with someone almost as effective.

Judging by Keith Edwards comments, only Keith Edwards (and possibly Danny Webber) is perfect.

I really hope Quinny stays. I've always thought he is a cracking little player.

He is not technically perfect but adds value to a team and makes up for any shortfalls with heart.

My gut says he will not be a Blade by tomorrow morning. Hope I'm wrong.

Anything close to £1M would be enough I expect.

With Ched going nowhere, United can probably offload the equivalent in wages selling Quinny and Boggy.

Squinnys been head and shoulders above all of our players this season, top 6 no doubt if we keep him, don't think we'll make the playoffs without him unless we unearth a gem of a replacement from somewhere but I think we'll probably just play someone out of position instead.

Quinny is the heart and soul of our current starting eleven. If he departs there will be a huge whole to replace, not only in terms of ability but in passion and the often over used cliche 'pride in the shirt'. I for one would gutted if he goes and would rather seen any of the so called big earners go before Quinn.

It would be a grievous blow to let Quinny go, but who will fill his boots? I suppose Monty is a ready-made replacement.

No, I'm not talking about on the pitch, but in the eyes of some of our so-called fans who will always want a scapegoat.

And forget all this talk about £1m. There's only one fee that United know - 'Undisclosed'.

We are a selling club.Always have been, always will be.We not only sell players, but the timing of it,the valuation, and replacements never make the club stronger.Quinn is no world beater, but is our most consistent performer this season,so in line with our history on transfers he'lle probably go.Other clubs in much worse financial peril than us continue to sign players i.e West Ham,Newcastle,Cardiff. We are much less ambitious than said clubs.

Nice find. According to most on there, "he's crap and we should get rid".

Being fair though, I thought he was awful at the same time. But then, it wasn't surprising when he was so nervous about getting booed and was being managed by various incompetents over the last couple of seasons.

Extremely worrying that he has been discussing these bids directly with Sky Sports to be honest. Not confident at all that he'll be with us tomorrow.

Blackpool gets far too much sun, Quinny's ginger skin won't cope with the change in climate.
