I would be very disappointed to start with those two on the wings to be honest but it’s the best I can come up with from the current crop; it was a close call between Speed and Monty to be fair.

I suppose it speaks volumes that this team could (substituting Speed for Monty) could have started the first game of last season.

If we do manage to secure a couple of new wingers I would be tempted to start with SQuinny in the middle instead of Tonge.

It's a toss up between Sharp and Stead. Sharp just edged it for me, but I don't really think there's that much between them. They are very different types of players, but I reckon Billy is more suited to start, with Stead coming off the bench.

It wouldn't really matter that much if you swapped them around though, and I certainly prefer either of those two to partner Beattie compared to any of our other strikers, Hulse included.
The line up could be subject to further change, but I'd rather see Carney given a decent run out in preference to any of the others we've had on that wing. I think he and Tonge could swap sides at various stages during a game.
