Standing or sitting?

Standing was good in my yooooth, nowt like ending up 40 yards away from your mates when the Blades scored!.
However, as Bristol city away this year proved, you don't have to be stood up to go banana's and end up 40 yards away.

Well that's odd because I get to choose my seat for all the matches this season. Not got a season ticket because I didn't know if my daughter would keep wanting to go so I book each match individually and unless we have decided to sit in another stand I have the same seats every match in the South stand.
My niece and family book theirs and they also get the row in front of us every match.

Sorry - I thought you were referring to away games. You can indeed choose your seat at home games. Which makes it all the more odd that it's not permitted at away games. The fact that it can be done at home games means most of those who wish to stand get seats at the back of the stand, removing many of the problems.

Linz sat next to her "Nannan"....Bert hasn't heard that term for a grandmother for years.

Well not since he left Sheffield at the age of 18.

Over here all the clubs have a "stand up and sing" stand. Gold Coast United's is actualy officialy called that.
I am the same as most on here as in i would love to stand at games but always take the people behind me into consideration.

Well I wish there was a 'stand up and sing' stand today. We had people standing in front of us and we had a nine year old who couldn't see a thing and was told by a steward to stop standing on his seat. Not a word to standers though. Luckily, managed to get him down to the front row.
