The YP are suggesting that he'll be looking for experience and reckon Ricky Sbragia is the man.

Ellis had left.

Has Speed brought him back on reduced terms?

McC will have a hard on.

I think Sbragia is a good shout, they were together at Bolton and he's got good experience working with younger players (Man U reserves for 3 years with the likes of Richardson and Fletcher) and he did keep Sunderland up when he was caretaker manager after Keane left.

I'd have to ignore his links with Blackpool of course.

They are above Man U in the league.

i hope thats not true...............any confirmation anywhere?

I don't think so although you can't find him on the OS. The worrying thing is that there were lots of txt going round stating this last night and I just put it down to bullshit because there's no way they would want to associate with the previous regime. If this is true the club will have managed to turn any optimism into cynicism as this can only be about money, and if we can't pay Ellis off then where is the step forward?

I hope it is going to be Sbragia, not Ellis. As others have said if we're going to try and move on we need another assistant manager. Ellis has never really come across very well to me.

Sbragia would be a great shout, unfortunately I think it may be on deaf ears.

I would imagine the club will want experience behind him, I can't see them wanting a fledgling No.2 as well. I guess it'll all come down to money and how much we've had to pay KB and SE off but I can't imagine Sunderland's scouts are on much !

According to Speedo's (out of date) website his best mate in football is Chris Coleman - not doing anything at the moment, I wonder.

From elation to deflation. The SUFC rollercoaster ride is still going. Ellis is still here.......:mad::confused:

It doesn't say what his job will be, with a bit of luck they will get him serving out pork pies at half time.

Good point Paulus, if he was going to be number2 it would have said so I think.
