Don't know about the second bit but definitely heard "singing at the lane".

In fact I'm sure I've heard it as far back as 2010/2011.

Well that was worth waiting for, wait all week for a new song and then an old un comes along, this time of year can get real boring

I've also thought of one. It goes to the tune of "Annie's Song" by John Denver and I think if I get it round enough Blades between here and the start of the season I could have half the ground singing it by 14:59 at the first Satdi home game.

I'm just struggling with one of the lines. I'm not sure whether a Gallon of Magnet or Maggots should be the definitive version.

It's not 'wrong' - it's merely a minor variation on the original lyrics to the song " Singing in the Rain" which I deliberately introduced for the sake of simplicity.

If you look very closely, there are other variations, such as the title and the words " And the Wednesday are shite" which I believe didn't even appear in the Morecambe and Wise version, but I may be wrong.
