So Wilder listened

My heart sank a bit when we appointed a manager from the league below. And when I heard Knill's first interview saying that first and foremost their teams work hard and run more than the opposition, I braced myself for some back to basics, get it forward, hit and hope.

Can't believe how good we are to watch. All those times Adkins told us he wanted to press high up the pitch and play attacking football, well that's what it looks like Nigel(s). I was actually gutted when the time added on went up. Could've watched that all day.

Actually it's all down to me. Since the Oxford match I've always entered the ground through turnstile 52 on the Kop. Against Walsall I went through turnstile 57, hence the defeat.
Mindful of this, I used 52 again and hey presto, 4-0 win.

You're all welcome.

Anyone remember those first 4 matches? About 5 shots in total.
How far we have come!

What the fuck was you playing at last Tuesday? Soppy bollocks!

Why would you do that?

Same here.

I'd not seen Wilder's previous teams play, so I half expected a rustic approach from a lower league manager. And we didn't half hoof it in one of early home games this season.

But what we've seen emerge is a manager willing to play to the strengths of his players, and one who refuses to allow a skilled team to be lazy team. At moment I can't fault the bloke.

It's down to me. I mentioned that I would rather we win than lose to some bloke in the subway begging after the Walsall match. He must know wilder and had a word.

I was coming from Shoreham street and couldn't be arsed to walk 10 ft further. Schoolboy error really. Hopefully my form will continue to improve and I can kick on for the rest of the season :)

If you endeavor to keep away from that end and stick in via the other I'm sure we will be fine.
Oh fuck, wrong guy....

Actually, it's down to me, in no small part.

I went into the changing room and shouted:

WIN AGAIN YOU SLAGS!

and they did.

Have you not figured it out yet? you go in a turnstile where the away number is bigger than the home number (5-7) then we will lose. If you go in a turnstile with the home number bigger then we have a good chance UNLESS the number involves an unlucky number such as 1 as in "one for sorrow", or 4 which is the Chinese unlucky number. Never use 67 because it adds up to an unlucky number and the away number is greater than the home number. Similarly 66 is close to the number of the beast. 65 is ok because it adds up to 11 which makes "2 for joy" if you add them together. Simple!

With you all the way on number 67. I'd always avoid that due to it being the year of the Pigs establishment.

So you were the bloke getting dragged away by about 20 stewards just after the 2nd goal?

Anyone else see that?

Yeah - he didn't go quietly did he! The stewarding was really OTT but then again, if you go onto the pitch you know you are going to get chucked out so you may as well just accept it and go quietly!

Is that what he did? I was still cheering the goal!

Next thing I know, I'm seeing a bigger yellow streak than last seasons performances :)

Yep, he ran onto the pitch to celebrate the goal with the players and then seemed a bit pissed off at being dragged out!
