Says he’s after two wingers and a holding midfielder.

Maybe Collado?

Who else though?

Let the speculation begin!

Defender, midfielder and winger.

Offload some of the deadwood.

Nobody. There's no money. Piss moan piss moan etc etc.....

He’s said two wingers and a holding midfielder today.

That's all that's needed to allow SJ to play his preferred formation and style of play.

Shifting any of the expensive surplus players would be a bonus but loaning any of them out for the remainder of the season is realistically the best the club can hope for. Who in their right mind would offer to take on Burke, Robinson, Verrips, Brewster etc.?

Out of contract at the end of the season are McGoldrick, Sharp, Basham, Guédioura, Freeman, Osborn, Robinson & Mousset. I can see some of those being moved on in January if there are takers, possibly even through the medium of a contract settlement.

I'd add a centre half to the shopping list and see whether anyone in the bottom half of the Premier League wants to bet £6-8m that John Egan's downturn in form is temporary.

My guess is there's only going to be incomings, if there's outgoings - which feels inevitable give the bloated squad.

Suspect Burke, Freeman, Slater all likely to be out of the door, maybe Robinson. Hourihane might be sent back, if terms of loan allow it. Might see Brewster go out on Loan? Berge will be sold. Basham may be let go?

Any takers?

Slater aside, these are all Premier League signings, likely on big wages and will make a hood dent in the wage bill.

Not sure on targets, but expect Diallo / Sessegnon type targets to be touted again. Or possibly other young Premier League players on loans, the other lad from Man Utd Elanga?

The holding mid is anyone's guess.

Whoever they are, I just hope these are Slav's first choices, not those of Bettis /Mitchell and whoever else is on the scouting payroll.

Let the rest go.

Keep Osborne and moose if his fitness improves between now and january. When fit and firing he is a wonderful asset; it is a big ask but I feel Slav is the ideal manager for him and there is mutual respect that if he does not make it for Slav he will not make it anywhere.

Feyenoord will be back in for Diallo if he's fit

If he gets these, where does he put G-W and IL , unless he plays without a striker ?

I suppose it depends on the formation. Possibly one of them could used in a 4-3-3 whereas both could possibly fit in a 4-2-3-1.

I still think a big focal is required for both formations but I'd guess that will have to wait until the summer when 3-4 other strikers are moved on/released.

He’ll go for an exciting list and each one will dramatically fail at the last minute, it’s the new Blades way called United Worlds way!

I hope he gets them in quickly because if we don’t we’re fooooked….

Still scratching my head as to why we didn't complete the Vieira deal.

I get he wasn't exactly match fit and, based on the clubs officials statements, was a few months from being up to the required level of fitness but that would have been about now and he is exactly the type of player we need in CM.

Send Hourihane back, get rid of as much deadwood as possible loan or permanent (hopefully permanent), bring in a brick shithouse centre back, some midfielders who can tackle, attackers/wingers who can complement Sharp, MGW and NDiaye plus hope that Wolves don't want MGW back. Probably all too much to ask...

Bang on.
Can you just ring Slav tomorrow and give him the names. Give him the Tottenham Centre half who doesn't get a look in who played for Swansea as the centre half and we stop letting in sloppy goals.
Try to get Pearson out of Bournemouth or Allen from Stoke, Collado if Slav rates him and Clarke also from Tottenham (does Conte like us?) plus a goalscorer with physicality who plays a full match. Move Davies to left back. Might be too many loans on the pitch, but i think Pearson would only come on a perm and wouldn't Collado be classed separately as he's a foreign loan?
Bottom line is major surgery required just to get in the top 6 mix

Take holding midfielder/defensive midfielder out of the equation.

Bash is the answer. Playing in front of the back 4 and just behind fleck/Norwood 😉👌
Bash needs a run in the side, but Jimmy Fleck needs to be on the bench watching someone fresh grabbing games by the scruff of the neck or gone entirely. Hourihane ain't the answer and Guedioura can't play week in week out at 36 or whatever.

So far he’s signed

Olsen / Davies / Guardiola (still don’t know how to spell his name) / Hourihane / MGW. We had RND and Illiman now available for selection.

He’s already had 7 players to work with more than CW in the championship than he had in the PL. if we sign 3 more he will have his side.

We don’t have the money to sign food Chanpionship wingers so we are looking for loans and frees

First he needs to terminate Freeman, Robinson, McGoldrick and Guedioura contracts.

Send Hourihane back, loan list Brewster and transfer list Burke, McBurnie and Mousset.

If someone comes in for Berge let him go.

Then bring in a winger or two, a striker and holding midfielder. Use the U23s for back up for injuries not a 35 year old DM.

Are we sure about that?, I thought in one of the early interviews he said it wasn't him that picked the players (at that point)?, I could be wrong on that.

He failed his medical with underlying knee issues if i recall correctly? Wasn’t just a fitness issue.
