Walsall, Southend at home....??
So many.
......But what a team and Manager we have now.
Worth every second of those agonies.
UTB

I went to that match and to fair Bury deserve credit.....they were better than us on the day and deserved the win.

Their front 2 of Pope and Leon Clarke looked too good for league 1 level, everyone was thinking how have Bury been able to afford signing those 2.
That lobbed goal from Leon Clarke was pure class.

Walked out of the ground not feeling too embarrassed....just shocked at how good Bury were.

So refreshing to hear "The other team played well" argument, as opposed to "We played shit". Credit needs giving where it's due. Bury thoroughly outclassed us that day.

Fleetwood at home under Clough was the worst for me.

The day I really had enough of the gutless creep.

I saw us go down to div 4 at home to Walsall

Nuff said

Why post this shit when we as high as we've been for decades, fuckin mystifies me, unbelievable
When your team flying high in the Premiership just isn't enough.......................

Losing to Shrewsbury 2-4 at home was probably the only time I’ve been embarrassed afterwards, or the 0-1 to Burton. Adkins made me embarrassed in general.

What's the best performance of the fuckin decade, or is that not as enjoyable as moaning. @

Losing 2-4 at home to Shrewsbury that same season was one of the worst. (Unless I got the score wrong)

at times its been so bad you'd struggle to agree on a top 10. sheff utd 2 - 4 shrewsbury has to be near the top most toxic i can remember bramall lane

notable mentions
  • 3-1 Southend
  • Either of home defeats to Fleetwood
  • 1-0 Burton, duffy 1st visit to lane & burton didnt need to get out of 1st gear
  • 2-0 Scunthorpe, final game of adkins
  • 3-1 hartlepool, doomed for relegation 1 win all season but outplayed us
  • Carlisle away was bad i remember Keith was so angry. nearly turned air blue. took RS off air
  • Barnet. outplayed by a mid table conference side, no10 running the show & our 1st defeat to a non league side in the fa cup which stretched back to before the titanic sank

I remember one of their goals was an absolute screamer too. We had far more embarrassing defeats than that during that season.

Losing at home to Crewe (for the first time ever?) because, as we did every week back then, we didn't close down a shot from outside the area. They scored, I had to endure hundreds of 'one-in-a-million, you can't stop them' comments, despite the fact the were actually 'once-every-two-or-three-games'.

Thank goodness the current lot have the brains to know that you shouldn't allow opponents free shots even from distance, and the bottle to actually charge the fuckers down.
