But Sheffield is the biggest village in England! Unlike most other big cities we dont have much of a metropolitan conurbation. We have 6 or so teams fighting for their share of the fanbase. If we were to get into the premiership and consolidate our position - say like Fulham for example, im sure we would average in the late 20k's with the odd 30+ when the like of Man U turn up.

Unless the financial bubble bursts big time and football returns to how it was 30 or 40 years ago, the best we can hope for is mid table prem and the odd cup run (crap or what lol)

Like it or not Leeds United's potential really is massive - just a pity they cant get their act together

Biggest village in England (depending on how you count it) is either Skellingthorpe (Lincs), Lemonroyd (nr Leeds) or Kempsey (Worcs).

Bit of rural regeneration "anorak" for you there!!

Worked in two of the three - you wouldn't want to pay to watch their footy teams - - but the Huntsman pub at Kempsey is worth a visit if you're nearby (IpswichBlade)
