Why do we keep bringing in shite loan players to "see us to the end of the season" last season it was O'halloran and this season we get a double dose forte and poleon. Both offer us nothing i don't know why we didn't use both wages and bring in someone who maybe useful. I'd rather see the young lads given a go.

Fully Agree.

I can't understand how we have done so poorly in the loan market compared to our rivals, it's shocking! Since the relegation season, some horrors have been: Nozza, O'Halloran, Marcus Bent, Marcus Williams, Mendez-Laing, Cofie and I'm sure there were several more in the relegation season!

How many good ones? Phillips. For 1 month.

Yet, pigs did it last year (Marshall, Antonio) and some of our rivals have managed it this year: Tranmere (Cassidy, Gibson) Brentford (Numerous!) Donny (Hume) Swindon (Several).

I really am shocked at how underwhelming our loanees have been. Could be the difference...

I liked Clarke as well last year. Not a great finisher but he made goals for fun. Conversely and against popular opinion I thought Hoskins was dreadful even before his injury.

I reckon it's a bit of a lottery getting a loan player in to be fair. Anyone playing for less than a Premiership club and you wonder why they aren't good enough to be in their first team?

But then you get the likes of Cofie, who on paper looked a great signing, but in reality wasn't even slightly interested. What you need is enthusiasm, hunger and desire, coupled with the necessary talent and I'd suggest that sadly, that's a fairly rare combination.

You would expect our own younger players to be far more motivated to succeed than any loanee, so personally provided they have the talent, I'd rather see them run out at three o'clock than some of the dross we've had in recent years.

to be fair cofie has never done anything. he only "looked a good signing" cos he was from man utd.

there must be plenty of players that have proven league one ability, but are festering in the reserves at higher division clubs. thats who we should have been looking at, not youngsters who have never done a thing in their careers.
