Any news as to when they will be going on sale yet? And pricing structure?

Also how do we think sales will go? Will the recent new optimism give us a boost in sales, or will that be offset by still being stuck in Football League division crap?

Thoughts?

Me and our Gurt get half price tickets this year :) And I can say they will be cheap at half the price ;)

I hope after this cup win that people are going to buy into what we're trying to achieve here. Hopefully it will add a few thousand to the season tickets for next season. We need to ride this wave.

Mal Donaghy was very successful at Derby in terms of selling their season tickets. Not sure what his secret was, however I am hoping he brings it with him.

They had an offer with a credit card that meant free season tickets if you had their card. Very clever ploy which would be self funding for club . Be good to raise our sales by linking a product with free S.T. somehow. Get that ground packed !!

I hope we don't sell too many. The best bit about being in the shower of shit division is being able to walk up to the ground at about 5 to 3, walk straight through the turnstyles go for a piss and still be in my seat in time for the team being announced. :)

Plus, we've lost a lot of the Premier League hangers on who expect miracles from us every game.

Pack the ground to the rafters every week

I've never bothered switching my season ticket seat to be next to my mate, because I can just wander across to the empty seats. Might have to make the effort this time. :)

A free season ticket just for getting their credit card. How is that self-funding?!

Because credit cards make money which would be paid back to club more than ST subsidy. Why do you think Derby did it and possibly still do.

There is no way that a club would make £300 plus per year just by encouraging a fan to carry their credit card. The fan would have to spend tens of thousands on the card for the club to make that much, and there's no guarantee they'd spend anything at all.

Currently if you get a Derby County credit card you can get a 9 month interest free period when you buy the season ticket and two free tickets after three purchases on the card. I doubt it was ever much better than that, and I doubt it had a huge impact on Derby's season ticket sales.

Wasn't credit card it was mobile phones! Club got paid full amount so no cost to them.

Makes more sense. Doesn't look like a particularly cheap way to buy a season ticket when you add it all up, but if you're going to be getting a phone contract anyway it might be worthwhile. I note the phone company are Derby's shirt sponsor, so no doubt it's all tied in as part of the deal. It could be reflected in how much Derby are getting for the shirt sponsorship.

Either way, it looks like an innovative approach and if it's working for them financially and boosting numbers of season ticket holders then that's good.

My thoughts are lets not worry about season ticket sales, lets just get off to a good start and the fans will come flocking back

Let's have a cracking end to the season and get up to 7-8th, that will show the dithering fans it's gonna carry on next season. The remaining fixtures are important to show target players we mean business next season.

As we decided late on in Weir's reign that we didn't want to be around when we were relegated to league 2, we booked a holiday to avoid the end of the season, that'll teach us! Anyway, hearing they may go on sale next week and not wanting to miss the early discounted period, I phoned the ticket office this morning and they know nothing as yet re STs going on sale but she said we should be fine by the time we get back, 5 May, to still get our seats. This could be the latest ever we have had to fork out the cash!
