You can view it as a bloated squad, or you can see it as a team in transition.
I suppose it depends on how the team is performing at the time or whether the poster has seen his backside today ..

We only have 40 odd squad members if you include academy players
after losing mc gill porter etc its around the 24 Clough said it would be ,

The negative blades who will stoop lower than a snakes belly to deliberatelybesmirch any move the club makes ( still cant think why theyd do it ) me seeth .
Thes people who use the term clapper to describe a supporter are the one thing dragging this club back , they revel in ridiculous theories with no basis in truth, the bloated squad thing being the latest pile of anti club bull shit , we as a club need to purge this wholesale negativity , based on pure lies and mis information.

When theres a real point of constructive criticism theres times I question the club , but not made up bollocks like this

Would be a big blow to the squad.
Scoog's has shown time and again his quality, especially in the big games...and while he may have been more inconsistent this season, I'm guessing some of that may be down to the role he's been asked to play.

If you can't tell, I'm a big fan of the lad...

Not wishing to pour doubt on this but sky sports only says Scougall is a doubt

"Both Ryan Flynn (Achilles) and Stefan Scougall (knee), who picked up a knock in the first half on Tuesday night, are doubtful."

which suggests the injury isn't serious

Perhaps the club wanted to keep it under wraps so Gillingham plan assuming he's in the team until team sheets are given to the ref but then someone blabs in public throwing all our planning down the shitter.

Seriously, are you suggesting that this is the optimum squad size?

It's too many both financially, and it terms of getting anything like a settled 11 out.

UTB

I think the sarcasm flew over your head this time. It was a joke referencing our inability to get our strongest and fully fit team to the playoff final every single time.

Not done his cruciate. He'll be out for 1-1.5 month most

Don't wanna step on anybody's toes with regards to what they hear from their sources but the words I was told were, "Scougs' season is done!"

The injury is nothing like the scale of what Cuvelier has had to endure but is serious nonetheless. I hope for his sake and ours that he's a quick healer because there could be a glimmer of hope that he'd be back for the playoffs if we should find ourselves embroiled in those again.

To answer your question Max, I suppose this thread could be seen as my initiation test to gain yours and others trust on this forum.

I can assure you that I'm no wind up merchant! I'm almost thirty years old with a pretty full on life so I don't really have time to be chasing wild geese on football forums!

The information on this particular subject comes from someone who ought to know all the ins and outs of the player's situation so there is absolutely no reason for the Info to be false.

As an aside, he did say not to expect the club to announce anything hastily! The news regarding the seriousness of the injury will most likely come out later in the week or possibly before Tuesday night's game.

I'm older than you & have a very full life myself and yet still find time to troll people on teh interwebz, so that line means nowt ;)

OT:

It would be shame if this was the case, I rate young Scougs and it would be a big blow to the lad.

Being too static has been a problem at times this season, and this won't help.

We do have good cover in midfield though, so let's hope someone will take his chance and do well. Is Cuvelier the one who is most similar to Scougs? Holt has been described as a "playmaker", does that mean he likes to keep the ball flowing deep in midfield, or can he bomb forward and get into the box regularly as well?

I would say Flo is person to replace Scougs.

Not a massive blow IMO but I'm not a big scoogs fan, just an average player I think. Could be a blessing may let someone else get a chance.
