Notts County keeper Saul Deeney is set to join the Championship's form team Sheffield United on trial, reports BBC Radio Nottingham.
Deeney is likely to stay with the Blades for a week and could then join for three months on loan.

The 22-year-old is on a week-to-week contract at Meadow Lane after rejecting a new deal during the summer.

Deeney recently spent time on trial at Bristol City, but a possible loan move to Ashton Gate did not materialise.

Does this mean the end for Kenny????? I mean, Warnock isn't exactly a lover of keeping loads of goalies at the club, he hardly ever put one of the subs bench!!

whilst hes supposed to be a good and rather acrobatic keeper, I think its more likely for cover/put pressure on than a replacement

Most likely the case, but if we can get a good keeper in (as Utd usually have a great run of goalkeepers) and get 3M for Kenny. That would be good business if you ask me.

Why would we want to sell Kenny? It'd be pointless. Sell Phil Barnes, yeah, but not Kenny.

Anyway, it's probably to cover the three teams that we're running this season.

Don't get me wrong, I love him. He's a great keeper, and after his antics with the Coventry fans I love him even more.

BUT!! If we got a keeper as good as Kenny, and we could, cos where did we get him from (Bury??) And get 3M for selling him.....surely that would benifit the team??

What's the deal with Barnes anyway?? What's the point in having him, every time Kenny gets injured (going off last seasons) he brings in a replacement and never plays Barnes???

I fail to see how having £3m to spend would necessarily benefit the team. We would never spend over the odds on a player, and to be honest we don't seem exactly strapped for cash at the moment. Warnock would never have spent £2.25m on Rasiak, and I think he'd be right not to do so - there's no way on God's earth that he's worth that much. And let's be honest, players worth more than that aren't necessarily going to want to come and ply their trade down at the Lane.

Also, if Kenny was sold, I think it'd give the wrong idea to the rest of the players. What's the point in playing really well if the Gaffer is just going to replace you so he can get some easy cash for you anyway? I think it'd put a dangerous dent in our famous team spirit, and that'd have a knock on effect on the squad as a whole.

And lets not even get into what the fans would think

I think your miss-interpretting what I mean.

I would never let Kenny go UNLESS we had a replacement who was better or as good.

And you can't tell me that it's impossible to find good keepers, Sheff Utd have proved over the years, if you look hard enough you will get a good keeper.

If Warnock had spent 2M+ on Raisik I would have gone mad!!!

I'm sorry but if we got a keeper who was as good, and a bid for Kenny came in, and he wanted to go, then we got 3M....that would be a bad thing????

My earlier comment about it being the end for Kenny was of the cuff......

I can see how much he's loved at the lane, just by how many comments I've had off saying that 1 sentence.

Just look at Leicester, there best player Connolly, he went for 3M, and all i've heard from Leicester fans is, fooking good business, he ain't worth that much.

I know it's a touchy subject, but as much as I love Kenny and as good as he is. He ain't irreplaceable. Hows that for stoking the fire!!!
