will we do the same again next season, team full of loan players, and joe average players, im not looking forward to next season, we have to have a big clearout, from top to bottom, and start fresh if we don,t i can see next season being the same again with us finishing lower half of div 1.:(

Hopefully the plan would be to mix our development squad with our older contracted players. Loans should be used for emergency only.

I am not sure league 1 teams have as much access to loan players championship clubs tend to snap them up so i think we will have little choice in that.

Whoever has made the decisions over the recent past re players needs birching then the sack.............What an opportunity to get things right...........get rid of the dross and incompetence in one swoop.

Please no more 'same owd' ! show some ambition.

All this talk of clear outs and all these high wage earners that we employ makes me wonder where the hell they are all hiding and what they are worth.

Look through the squad and there are few that are actually worth clearing anywhere. More worryingly who would sign them? Theres talk of Monty being rubbish (nothing new I know) but who is going to pay any money at all for him?

Most clubs with large wage bills have an asset to go alongside it. We must have the biggest wage bill exiting the Championship in years. But theres naff all to show for it. Saleables on decent wages for me are:-

Relish £500k
Cheds now worthless but you would probably get rid for £750k (if you drugged the person buying first)
Quinn £500k
Yeates £250k

The rest you are talking beans for. Ertl, Bogdanovic, Cresswell and Simonsen are worth fart all between them but god only knows how much they will be chewing out of the wage bill. You terminate their contracts then you have to pay them out.

Problem is, you sell Henderson and you probably sell our best chance of getting back out of the division. Quinn and Yeates I would want to keep because they would be good at League One level. How do you replace the half decent players because you aren't going to be paying the wages?

We could end up with a team of Doyles and Collins because we can't afford anything else.

Why hopefully? The older contracted players have failed us lamentably, yet you hope to keep them?

Do we never learn?
