On paper would be a fantastic signing.

SotonBlade he can operate at CB

Always remember Wolves beating us at BDTBL last season, he was a sub on the day after only just returning from injury I believe but was very vocal encouraging & passing on instructions from the sidelines was impressed by that. His leadership qualities wouldn't go amiss in the run-in.

He was in the 'League One Team Of Year' last season

That's what I don't like. Players who can 'operate as [INSERT POSITION]'

I'd rather sign players for their primary position, rather than players who can fit a few.

Jack of all trades, master of none.

True & I think it's clear to see we need a dominant, tall, quality centre half who knows what this league is all about & can come straight in, be upto speed & start helping us keep clean sheets...

...however as our scouting system seems to go as far as Scotland, Derby or Blackpool I'm not entirely sure where we're going to find one of them to come in mid-March with 12 games to go.

That's why I think Ricketts would be a good addition, he's a leader, knows what this league is all about (was in the team of the year for this division last season whilst operating at both CB & FB) & has the added experience of being a 'winner' which is something we lack in the squad.

Paddy McCarthy struggled here because he wasn't used to the pace of play in this division, Ricketts on paper & from previous experience of playing at this level would be better equipped.

Appart from Young TK we haven't had a dominant CB all season. JMc and Basher are more MF filling the gaps. Shame Butler and Collo never got a chance, things might have been different.

Only positions NC seams to think important are the MF slots

My guess is Brayford will 'fill in' as CB at Scunny and Freeman will 'slot in ' at RB

Yes, especially in the 1st half. He was annoying me as I thought he was too close to the pitch. The ref didnt make him go away
