and send their families the bill for the firing squad (like they do in china)

In the words of Duncan Bannantyne, I'm out.

Watching the club this season has been like watching your old dog on it's last legs.Although you've grown up and enjoyed many years of fun together, you can't bear to see them suffer anymore, because it's far too painful.
Today it was time to put the poor bugger down.Although the old dog raised it's game and showed what it used to be capable of,after 70 minutes it was knackered, and by the time Emnes scored, was slumped, breathless and tired of life.

The future for us is bleak.Crowds will drop to pre-Warnock levels, incomes will reduce, season ticket holders will refuse to renew (and after 22 years,do I want to pay £400+ for Division 3 (yes,I'm old school) football?) and should McCabe decide enoughs enough and calls in his debt,we could end up facing admin. And,yes I'm being serious. The wheel has turned full circle and we've got to the same position that we laughed at our country cousins for getting into less than a year back.

There is one glimmer of hope- the academy. But will we let our latest starlets be sold for 2 packets of Wotsits and a quarter of Yorkshire Mixture? Probably. We've sold every bugger with a modicum of talent.

Now..I'm off to drown my sorrows, drop a couple of Prozac and maybe find a nice railway line to top myself on.Alcoholism, depression, and feeling suicidal? That's the Blades Way...

McCabe has swapped his loans for equity so you can at least not worry about admin.

equity.. how does that work then? seeing as we don't own any players (good ones anyway)

Come on, it wasn't that bad. We dominated them for the majority of the game. If Henderson had done what he's usually good at doing (as far as I remember) and head the ball into the net then we'd have won, by a large margin. That and the couple of dodgy defensive mistakes that as usual cost us. Rest of the time we weren't that bad at all. Not world beaters, but not useless twats either.

Agree with Rattly Noise. 4-1 up at half-time would have been a fair score, but a combination of poor finishing and a ref. who was determined not to give us anything in a meaningful position meant the chance had (almost) gone.

Not too upset about Boro's winner, a draw would not have been nearly enough.

So that, as they say, is that. Our season of a thousand cuts has ended in all but name. Now is the time to look to the future.

And that future cannot possibly include Adams. Port Vale is his level. I could not believe that he named Collins, Nosworthy and Bent today. But then 2 of them are his players (and the other's useless), and he's not possibly going to admit ALL the players he's brought in aren't up to it.

Kinda relieved it's all over.
