I predict a blades win 4-2 with 2 sendings off, floodlight failure and abandoned due to a snow storm. Put a quid on that spot betting fans.

Seriously, don't think it will be a blood and guts battle with a loads of red cards. Just hope we don't pick up suspensions and or injuries for Wembleeeeeee. They will be just as keen not to get anyone injured before playoffs, just depends if they still think they can catch Brentford.

Hope we beat them to shut them all up. Up there with the massive at the moment for all the shit they spout
As I said in another post....
Need to put them little toe rags back in their box! Funny how they see their position as a real accomplishment yet we see the same position as a low point in our clubs history. At least we know we can recover to greater things with a brilliant new infrastructure, manager and PL fan base whereas they are at their critical mass and can only aspire to Championship relegation battles.

Credit where it's due people, I only wish we had a goals scored like they have ATM, small town club, relatively solid, if somewhat small fan base that are pretty loyal to their club.
Marmite Evans deserves credit too, they play the right way, full blooded, attack minded not pretty but effective for this and league 2 as proven, but temper that with the fact this league is pants.
Still we should allow them their time in the day light and I personally say good luck to them (tonight accepted) and I hope they get and stay in the championship so we can show them how it's done in the 2015/2016 season :)
Any millers reading this go up and spank the south Barnsley club home and away :)
Hope it's a good game tonight, blades win obviously

I expect a much-weakened team to succumb to free-scoring Toytown. Those who do play won't want to go in for 50-50s.
All well and good, given the semi on Sunday. But what effect is all this having on our League form? We've won one in the last six league games which has cost us a - until very recently - superb chance of catching and overtaking Peterborough.

Come next Monday, the Cup dream may well be over and the 'bread and butter' of the league is all we'll be left with.

Just saying.

Bread and butter is just that, the Cup is the Jam on the bread.

After today, only 2 home games left anyway so we'll see a lot of the kids I reckon.

There was a time, not so long ago when we'd all have prayed for League 1 bread and butter next season. I'm happy and if we win on Sunday that's one hell of a bonus. Conserve rather than jam! ;)

We've had four chances to get to the cup final including this one whilst I've followed them so lets make it the be all and end all for effort.

I might not see them have the chance, for the first 22 years it wasn't even a dream, we had no chance of being in this position, never forget that.

Sunday is special, the FA cup is special.

Promotion to the Prem is now a load of bollocks and a waste of time.

COYRAWW.

Always liked the club mesen. Hope they go up rather than Preston or Peterborough or MK Dongs etc...of course I want us to beat them tonight...UTB!

Feel the games going to be boring honestly, don't see toy town getting promoted and think they'll struggle next season to produce the same quality as this season. Where as we will be the team to beat next season.

Couldn't agree more, mate.

I actually think Nigel will get us to a cup final one day.
Premier League - pah!

Amazingly that is the exact 11 and scoreline I predicted! Freaky stuff.

Edit: I put Porter up top actually

I guess that's in the other thread on Nige's Line Up - I haven't read it yet.

Porter is struggling with a hammy I think and as Paynter is one of the few who is cup tied I would be amazed if he doesn't get a start in the XI tonight.

I expect Davies to come on as a sub later
I cant see Murphy getting any game time tonight, nor Maguire
Suspect that Coady will get 60-70 mins and be replaced with one of the youngsters.

Be nice if Khan pops up with a winner for us though :)

Rotherham United this season are Stevenage from 2011/12, riding the crest of a wave that has taken them from the basement division upwards, the new ground is a difference though.

They won't make auto but will end up getting a bumming in the play offs against someone like PNE or Peterboough. Next season will be mid table and Evans getting the boot, then the following season relegation and the financial consequences of signing, or trying to sign every player in the football league.

They are like a cheap knock off Donny Rovers.

I hope we thump them all over the place tonight, 3-1 Paynter with a goal.

Paynter with a goal? not a chance in hell

It's a real shame this game has fallen when it has. Not sure why we agreed to play it the midweek before a potential semi-final - I bet they can't believe their luck. It would have been a tough game had we been at full strength - but given we will play some fringe players it will be extremely difficult. The thought of toytown doing the double over us is not a pleasant one.

small town club, relatively solid, if somewhat small fan base that are pretty loyal to their club.

Given that Rotherham is part of this city in all but name (no countryside in between, 10 mins by train, soon to be on the tram network) I'd say that Rotherham are a small-ish club in a pretty big city, like Oldham's relationship to Manchester for example, or Tranmere to Liverpool. These smaller clubs in or close to big cities have a large potential fanbase, and if Rotherham were ever to make it to the PL while us and the pigs struggle I could see them getting gates of 20k.

You guys thinking we have no chance of winning tonight have not been watching any youth team nor u21s development games. There is some real talent in these squads and I think you will be pleasantly surprised tonight.
and it is a massive step up

Does NY Stadium have the potential to be expanded beyond its current 12k capacity?

I'm sure it was built with expansion in mind, most of the new stadiums are these days. Cardiff are in the process of expanding Dragon Field or whatever it's called. Shame they're going to be relegated.

This reminds me of donny... They have a home average of 6/7k and think they are PL material.. The fans in and around the two towns are either blades, pigs or Leeds scum.. They have nothing to show for it other than been a yoyo club with no history.. I hope we take toy town to the cleaners tonight tbh

Don't think we've got a chance tonight TBH
We will be weakened
Nobody will want to get injured
Nobody will want to get sent off
We've nothing left to play for in the League
Everybody, players and fans alike will have one eye on Sunday.

Not taking anything away from Rotherham, they could still have beaten us if we were strong and really going for it. But they will be going in hard for everything, they will be really motivated playing against us and United's players will be jumping out of the way of some of the tackles that will be flying in.

Rotherham must know this and they will use it to their advantage

Unless we win tonight and Peterborough and the rest fail to win, and results again go our way at the weekend.
