Could’ve been worse, could’ve been 3-2. Thank the heavens for Deano or it would’ve been!

If it wasn't for Deano it would've been 5 or 6-2

Edit: as above. I didn't read the thread before I responded haha

Some of the defending reminded me of the darker League One days.

A physical team that gets in our faces and can put the ball in the box with a quality is a team that makes us look poor.

If anything it's sent a very clear message to Leeds & West Brom of how they can beat us.

We can't play much worse than that so I'm sure there'll be a reaction next week.

Wilder's gonna be fuming if the board don't allow him bring in the skills knowledge and experience he knows we need.

The current squad is decent but can't be expected to play at their limit every week to get results. It looks like we have a ceiling that we need to break through.

Against Sheffield United.

Twenty. Six. Shots.

That performance was utterly embarrassing and we’ve robbed a point. Got to the top and fell away once more.
......and still only drawn 2-2 at home, with us ptutting up one of the worst performances of Wilder’s tenure.

There’s a lesson for us there about getting more shots in, and also a reminder to not throw the baby out with the bath water.

They play a percentage game, but it’s our game that has us chasing promotion, and them struggling against relegation.

There's always a price to pay when we have a brief good period.

Last season it was Coutts' leg, this season maybe we just turn absolutely fucking shite - just as the local derbies start piling up.

Let’s not forget Rovrum beat Derby and Swansea at home. They’re no pushovers.
Small noisy stadium and they are up for it for any team that doesn’t like steel up ‘em.
And we didn’t. Too sloppy.
On the plus side we got a point and our goals were good.

The attitude they showed today worries me hugely. Do we really want to go up?

Hull City last season was the last time I saw something so pathetic in attitude
I switched the channel to Only Fools and Horses as soon as Rotherhams equaliser went in so I haven't seen Wilders comments

But whatever he said I bet he's absolutely fuming with them.

I can see changes for the next game
Coutts for Norwood, Stearman back in for Egan or O'Connell and Baldock back in for Freeman

I'd also experiment with McGoldrick in for Fleck, because even I'd get further up the field occasionally than he does

For me it's not about beating little old Rotherham, or the fans being Billy Big Bollocks and expecting an easy win. It's not even about the result (a point that could so easily have been none). It's the performance. The goals aside, it was dire. We had nothing going forward, the only other chance we created resulted in an incredibly bad miss from McGoldrick, who's got off easy for that in my opinion. Yes the lad on the line did well, but he shouldn't have had a sniff.

Freeman played like he was hungover, Fleck and Norwood were pure garbage, O'Connell and Basham were off the pace, the subs were ill-judged and surrendered all initiative to Rotherham, Johnson's decision-making was terrible the one time he had the ball, Stevens dived in like a pub player for their second, no-one picked up the man at the edge of the box for their first.

Even for our second goal, we survived Freeman contriving to head the ball away from goal.

We're usually good at defending crosses but when so many are coming in for 90 minutes, against a team set up to do that, then the inevitable is going to happen.

The first goal was a perfect example of that - cross, knockdown, deflection.

YOU PLONKER!

Bollox to all of that. We got a point because we have a great keeper. That's the difference. There are 11 players in a team and a superb keeper makes a difference. A point away from home well earned.

YOU PLONKER!

Ahhh diddums
Did I hurt your blady blady bladeness feelings

Fucking grow up
United were wank, thoroughly completely and utterly WANK

And for all your blind fucking clapping bullshit I bet Wilder agrees with me, not you

Can't blame centre backs for that result they got no cover what's so ever,Rotherham were at our throats from kick off .The midfield was dire and couldn't pass water,Fleck and Norwood were the biggest culprits,we kept tying ourselves in knots, they let us off the hook really with of course an outstanding goalkeeping performance. Not seen us out run and out fought since the bad days in league one.
Wilder sounds like he's going to take action. Some players really need to look at themselves after that no show, shocking!! !
