When was that? I seem to remember playing Spurs on a hot sunny day and winning 3 - 1 or 3 - 2

Norwich it was, May '91. According to good old reliable soccerbase, the penultimate game at the Lane was Tottenham, we drew 2-2.

I remember that match. Had a stinking cold virus, headache and dizziness. Still made it to the game and no doubt passed on my germs to fellow Blades. Times like that you cant help but be selfish.

It was Norwich.

I was in my early teens and stood towards the front and 'got caught by the sun'

Weirdly in reverse order with the last at the top, but a 2-1 win for united in the 1990/91 season

Agana got both goals at the Lane end after we went 1-0 down. Interestingly enough, apart from David Barnes' goal against Wimbledon back in October, they were the only goals we scored at the Lane end that season.

I remember me and my mate actually started the match Stood on the John Street Stand, but blagged our way onto the Kop as there was someone we knew stood on there :)

Did the roof come off for the spurs game 2nd to last and the last game was Norwich?

No, just the Norwich game. The Spurs game was on 20/4/91. We drew 2-2 having been 0-2 down with about 10 mins left. Bessley got one back and Deane equalised with a great lob in the last min.

Incidentally Justin Edinburgh got one of only two career goals for Spurs in that game. He scored the other for Portsmouth against SUFC on 20/10/01.

I went to the Spur's game but cannot remember if the roof was off by then.

I remember it coz the ground was full and the guy on the turnstyle told me to jump it. was a great day and a great game.

Our two goals against Northampton and two against Everton in the League Cup were scored at the Lane End that season
