Radio 5 at 10.30 announced that Brian Robson has just been appointed to be manager of Thailand.

Anyone know the Thai for "You Don't Know What You're Doing"?

You Don't Know What You're Doing - คุณไม่ทราบสิ่งที่คุณทำ

Shoes off if you hate Robson -รองเท้าปิดหากคุณเกลียดชัง

And one for him.

Where is the nearest bar? - แถบใกล้ที่สุดอยู่ที่ไหน

What about...

"Do you know another bar, as I'm barred from the one you recommended yesterday... and the day before... and the day before"

"Can I bring Brian Kidd along too, he's brilliant at Striker coaching and he's a set piece specialist, tha knows"

Sandals off, surely.

Flip flops, and please bearin mind it is disrespectful to show the soles of your feet to other people in Thailand.

If this doesn't get them shutting the airport down again, nothing will...

The mind boggles that this guy still gets job offers despite his track record
Boro- relegated
Bradford- relegated
West Brom- stayed up...then relegated
Blades-sacked before we could be relegated

he has to be one of the most useless 'managers' in football if you can call him such a thing

I guess at least with a national team you can't get relegated! Although i'm sure he could find a way

Got relegated after spending £90Million at Middlesborough in an age when £20 pounds were not used to even out wobbly tables at Premier League grounds.

I bet Gibson quietly weeps when he thinks about all that money Robson wasted on booze and Brazilians.

Amazing when you consider that his record made him unemployable in British football, even in the lower professional leagues. Yet he lands a job managing one of the biggest countries in Asia.

The Man U "old boy network" must have played a part.

Thailand may be a big country population wise, but they have never been a strong footballing side, even in Asian terms. They are currently ranked 15th in Asia and 115th in the world. They have never qualified for the World Cup or got beyond the first round of the Asian Championship.

Their standard is probably not much better than League Two level, if that. So Robson may have found his level :-)

Thailand won't be winning many games then! Wonder if he'll have taken his table with him... with his 'water' bottle?
