Chaps,

BBC reporting that Karl Robinson is staying put at MK. If we don't McCall, Russell Slade doesn't quite do it for....

UTB

JW - "So Karl, what we're looking to do going forward is re-define our core competencies to create innovative syngeries with our key deliverables"

KR - "Eh?"

JW - "And I've the Chaiman on the line from Brussels, Kevin?"

KM - "Hey, Karl, Bladey Bladey Bladeness"

And he said no???

'syngeries' - Is that something to do with song-songs?

To be fair most candidates mentioned are gambles.

McCall is less so and some of his players available on frees, useful to a club who can’t afford to sign diddly squat.
He was part of our recent sucessful times so knows what is needed to get us 'going'.
Still a gamble but less so than others mentioned in my eyes.

If McCall can persuade them to come down here then okay, but with his managerial record its always going to be a gamble, it did work for Motherwell so might do for us also.

no one with any sense will take the job ,and people moan about ex blades being linked .no one else wants the job

Isn't this just typical, someone mentions Robinson, everyone jumps on the bandwagon saying he's the best man available etc etc, for whatever reason it doesn't happen and all of a sudden the club are 'settling for 2nd best' etc etc.

It would have been an OK appointment but nothing more, move on.

To what? That's the issue. A new model or more of the same old shite?

We are running out of chances to get this right.

I bet they had dozens of applicants (most of them no-hopers, I'll give you that).

Most of them quoting how they'd taken United into the Champions League on Football Manager (although that would make them more highly qualified than Morgan).

I don't think any of the managers linked have particularly impressive managerial CV's so not too bothered about Robinson not being in the mix.

The two that I would like to see are Jackett or Pullis but I wouldn't imagine either will drop down to League One.
