I'm glad Rob has got sorted out, it was rumoured he was going to come to us in some capacity 18 months ago, but kept the Wales job a bit longer than he should.

Great bloke who still lives locally, always liked him as a player, bit like Robbo, not his fault he is not better, but always gave his all.

I used to always sign him from Watford on Championship Manager 2 with Dean Richards from Wolves. Best centre back pairing in the game and cost relatively nothing. Throw in a bit of Kieron Dyer from Ipswich and 17 year old Robbie Keane from Wolves and the league title was all but yours.

But anyway, well done Robert Page 👏 👏 👏......

.....and thank you for landing me manager of the season!

He's a good sort.

Will he manage to still live locally if he's got a job in Liverpool? Good gig though for sure!

I'd have liked him to have got involved here at some point in the coaching staff.

I forgot that I used to sign John Curtis from Man Utd reserves. He was also awesome in CM2, but dissapointing for the Blades in reality.

A ludicrous insult to compare him to Robbo. Robert Page was an absolute rock for us for two seasons and was a quality captain and a genuine leader for one of the best seasons most of us have seen as blades fans.

Jack Robinson is a lump of 5hit who cost us promotion, is a terrible captain, never been a good player and it’ll be an absolute travesty if he ever plays us again. As a centre back in a back 4, he’s bottom 6 of the championship level.

No ifs
No buts

I’ll say this for anyone who even considers defending that headless chicken again, and to paraphrase Bill Hicks with his quick capsule review: PIECE OF SHIT!

‘But he’s a hard tackler he gives everyth..’
Woah woah woah woah you’re getting realllllly baffled no

Piece of shit, that’s all he is. Now walk away

The comparison between the two, is far from 'ludicrous'. Both were slow on the turn and poor facing pacy players and both made regular howlers that cost us big style.
To their credit, both of them were great competitors and gave their all for the cause.

Robinson isn't a fantastic championship defender but we have had many worse. Far worse.

Poor footballer but great heart, determination and bravery as a defender.
An outsider for our job after the imbecile Wilder.
No idea his setup/style for Wales and whether I'd want him as first team manager but major step up on Wilder as he COULD identify good young players.
Did I dream I read in last nights star under the Boots adverts that Jack Lester has just been sacked?
(Page) Would have been ideal for us in charge of our U-21's and like Hecky ideal to step in as first team manager if it all goes **** up at the behest of the Wilder shall we call them 'fan boys'?

He didn't get sacked at the same time as CW, Knill and Prestridge. I wondered if he was offered a position in the Academy?

I think Robinson has become the scapegoat for others' failures. He was no different last season to previous, not his fault he was played ahead of Holding. Given how football has moved on since the triple assault season, I think Page would be on a very similar level to Robbo. Again, that is not a criticism, an opinion.

Rob Page absolutely did not make regular howlers, there was the odd mistake but nowhere near on the level of Robinson in both frequency and severity.

Page was also dominant in the air and whilst did struggle against pace, had much better positioning, reading of the game and defensive instincts than Robinson.

Miles better defender, I’d have never called Rob Page shit, he just got too old and had to be moved on. Jack Robinson was meant to be in the prime of his career for us.

We will have to agree to disagree. In my mind, Page was good for a bad positional mistake, pretty much every game, many of which cost us.

As for 'dominant in the air', the defence improced decidely when Morgs came in. Page was decent in the air, but far from dominant.

He didn't just 'get too old', he was always slow.
