RIP Kevin Randall

[Silent Blade]

Kevin worked at the Lane as a scout and coach for most of Neil Warnock's years as our manager. I remember watching some Chesterfield home games in the early 1970s with fondness especially when they beat Peterborough in April 1970 to clinch the 4th division title. Kevin was a player I admired a lot and I met him a few times through his wife(who I worked with) and Kevin was a lovely man to talk too. RIP Kevin.

Sad to hear. I played for him in the mid 1980s at Chesterfield in their juniors and reserve team. He was assistant to John Duncan. He was a bit of a ball buster. Used to make us run and run and run. Up and down their main stand steps time after time

remember one training session in ankle deep snow, just running for 3 hours. Train journey from Sheffield to Chezzie and back for 3 hours running in snow... seemed pointless but got us fit for sure !.

Still a true football man and lived ate and breathed CFC.

Did a good job for us as well in the background of Warnocks era
