Hello all,

Some of you might recognize me when I first registered to this forum when CKR signed for Fenerbahce. Well, a lot of time has passed since then, and you might have seen some glimpses of how he developed into a good player in the game against Chelsea or in the EURO 08, but just in case if you didnt here is a video from the Champions League qualifiers. :)

Quality player who has just improved vastly in such a short time.

I wouldn't go as far as that to be honest. He has the potential to be a really good player but apparently his attitude stinks and always goes where the money is. While he did do well for us in some games, there were other games where we didn't notice him.

Also when we sold him, there was no public outcry about it. That to me shows how good a player is. We thought it was a good bit of business rather than losing a vital player. Most of us saw him as replaceable.

Personally I only saw him have 45 minutes during the Euro 2008 where he was anything like the threat an international winger/forward should be. He tracked back a lot but I thought that was more to show that he was actually involved in the game. Wingers who struggle to beat their man sometimes track back and just help defence out to avoid looking bad, which is what I'd expect from him.

Very arrogant, but certainly gifted. Is it true that he's not learnt a single word of Turkish. Even I can speak a bit!

Good player

But i've always thought the final ball hasnt been good enough

Video Review:

Tricks: Out of Ronaldo's scrap book
Passing: Woeful
Diving: Predictable
Finishing: Woeful

Ronaldo wanna be with a big head!

Still liked him when he was here though

I love how everytime he does some fancy trick, there is never an end product, never finds a team mate with his crossing or it gets blocked or he shoots off target

:lol::lol::lol:

A bit harsh in my opinion.

In terms of going where the money is; he has played for Bury, Brighton, Sheffield United and Fenerbache so far in his career. The chance to play champions league football alongside players of international class is hardly somethinig that can be passed up; especially when the alterntaive appeared to be a season in the championship at a club where your appearances have been sporadic.

You are right about the lack of outcry when he was sold, i would suggest that even now most people would agree that the sale was a good piece of business.

He did very well at the euro's; he certainly looked to have imporved his all round game since his days at BDTBL and always looked a threat from out wide.

In my opinion CKR has turned into a very good attacking wide man who would be invaluable to us this season if he were still here. That said, i still think it was the best thing all round to sell him when we did. We got a decent profit (very rare for SUFC player sales) and CKR certainly seems to be a better player for the move.

I thought it was shit business, and was very disappointed with most Blades fans' short-sighted, shoulder-shrugging reaction.

I thought it was fantastic business, as he didn't really do a hell of a lot on the pitch. He always looked good value for money during the half-time substitutes' warm up, showing off with his fancy tricks, but catching the ball up your shirt and standing on it while you spin around isn't really what I want from a player. Circus act, maybe.
