We've played 3 away games.

Watford will be well up there.

Middlesbrough are nowhere near as bad as their recent form.

Luton were very hard to beat on their own patch last season, and may very well be in the mix this season.

The away win, it's around the corner. Keep the faith.

I agree, all 6 teams we've played so far will in my opinion finish in the top half, so when you look at it we've had a difficult start and we're top, and unbeaten in 5

Overrun in midfield in first half and not at our best so I'm glad we came away from that with a point. Hopefully Wes illness clears up soon and RND is not out injured after going off.

Doing the ol sports psychology bit… that point will feel like a win for the boys. When you have to battle like that against a physical team that got away with murder you know you’ve earned it! And McB got his goal!

Happy with the result and looking forward to Tuesday ⚔️

Missed the game, playing chess at the social club.

My mate a "Hatter" was keeping me posted on sojourns to the bar from time to time.

Sounds like 1-1 was a fair result.

It really is a change for me to be happy with a point away opposed to seeing it as 2 points dropped.
After the euphoria of the result against Blackburn I think we all expected a win last night, but Luton proved to be a very organized and physical side, a tough opponent, but we battled well, took some more casualties but came away with a good away point.

The ever growing injury list is very worrying though.

And, I can't believe I'm saying this again, well done McBurnie on finally getting a goal and starting to look like a striker!

Hello me from yesterday.

Word of advice, stop being such a chirpy cunt when you've had a few jars, it's ruining our brand profile.

Picking up the results we have so far against the teams we've come up against should give us loads of confidence.

Yes we might well end up dropping points but we've only got 2 or 3 of the top sides in the division to play in this half of the season. Unless something goes terribly wrong we should have a steady stream of points. On this average so far we'd finish in 84, but we've got some easier fixtures coming up so that average should improve

I think we will just always struggle away against teams that set up to counter. The system we play means we have a load of possession and then we end up with players up the field, if the opposition is bigger boys who can break it is understandably difficult for us to deal with.

We are really close to the magic 2 points per game average after playing 6 games against some of the better teams in the division. I am very hopeful of a decent season and at least we are enjoyable to watch again. In Hecky we trust. UTB

If RND is out injured I would like to see Anel at LCB and Bash at RCB which would give us more height and flexibility in overlapping

No need to worry,if we want a top two spot we only need to win 12 away games…..problem is there are only 20 games left,it will be play offs again because we are a completely different side away from home.

Agree the OP.

In terms of last season's placings we've just played away to 2nd, 6th and 7th. As we were 5th ourselves that only leaves Burnley, Norwich and Huddersfield as tough away games. I know they can all be tough but what I mean is that we are 2nd and in doing so have also cleared 3 difficult away trips.

Having also played the teams finishing 8th and 9th , we've faced 5/8 of the top teams from last year in our opening games (given we can't face ourselves).

In doing so we were also sat there with the best GD. Burnley then pumped Wigan but how lucky were they? Wigan 18 shots, 4 on target, 1 goal. Burnley 8 shots, 6 on target, 5 goals. Freak result. Still doing see enough goals in that Burnley team and overachieving their xG like that won't continue. 1.85 xG Wigan to 0.9 xG Burnley!

Difficult start but encouraging. It's now to see if our firepower can put away the other teams. Better Reading come with confidence and to play rather than sit back. I feel this suits us far more.
