Firstly I'm not sure if MA is the right man or not but 132 views to a statement that claims he may be our manager in the next 24 hrs and no replies after 1½hrs says the fans aren't sure either.
We need to avoid splitting the fan base over the next manager and I don't think MA is the man. Trouble is apart from SOD I can't see who else is a candadate and I'm still not convinced that SOD is the man except I feel us the fans would give him more time to get it right that the others who are on the radar.
Difficult times!!

if donny massacre us like they did last month next week then there will be only one candidate that will be acceptable to the fans.. a crucial game in more ways than one

Then again, if we win & Donny do their usual passing it across the middle, going nowhere & boring everyone shitless, where will we be?
The problem is that with the time taken, the fans have decided who it should be, debated, changed their mind, debated some more, grown used to it being one guy, read the papers, accepted that we're going for our second choice, debated some more, changed their mind.... there's a lot to be said for being patient and choosing the right guy, but at SUFC, we just don't know (as fans) how that feels, and what we're supposed to do.

Just listened to those comments. His exact words were that his future will be sorted out in the next 24/48 hours either way because he doesnt want it going on for any longer than that.
My interpretation: I've spoken to United and I want the job. I also want a decision/resolution from them over the next 2 days or I'm signing my new contract at Port Vale.
If United want him they'll have to agree compo over him sharpish. Otherwise its SOD or Scott.

Fair play to him. Has a lot of experience and a decent track record, he doesn't deserve to be treated with a lack of respect cos he is a Blade and desperate for the job.
Glad at least someone is seeking some clarity and acting professionally and promptly even if our board is in danger of presiding over yet another farce.

It may be the case that we simply haven't offered the job to anyone yet. Those comments sound as though Adams has sort of been left hanging. Perhaps the board are waiting to see if any other names suddenly become available in the next few days. Like Mick McCarthy.
