MCCabe stated quite without fear or trepidation that the academy was effectively to be used as a production line of talent to keep this club self-sufficient by way of nurturing and seling

To be honest I'm not fussed whether academy kids are playing or we put out a Dad's Army XI as long as we're winning.

I want results. Who gets those results for us, I'm not too bothered.

How dare you say that!?!? You know that passing football is more important than actually winning ;)

Don't know if it's true, he's a Wednesday but a good friend and coaching colleague, he's received news that Quinny is apparently headed to Hull for a medical tomorrow. I hope he's wrong.

It's ok, i've got a good friend that works at Hull, and he reliably informs me that their fax machine is fucked.

Would anyone take a deal for Quinn (plus hopefully ridding ourselves of Monty) for another central midfielder and a winger?

Personally, I'd take two wingers for Quinny no matter how well he's played...

He wont sign for Hull, imagine the clash of their shirts and his barnet....

Shame we can't keep him for Saturday so we can thank him for paying the ultimate sacrifice for the good of the club.

Sounds like he's gone then. Disappointing but inevitable.

Defensively he wasn't great and his form was often a bit patchy, but Quinny was a decent footballer for us, a good passer and crosser and had excellent control. Chipped in with a few goals too, including the odd free kick (the one against Villa in the premier stands out in my mind).

Will be missed, thanks Quinny.

I think i'll do another predicted league position thread tomorrow....
