Hey George,
If you wouldn't mind giving up trying to be a goalkeeper, I could do with a Christmas wreath and a couple of poinsettias please.
What on earth is poinsettia it is the second time today ive heard that word but never before today

Great performance today and MOM well earned. If you haven't seen it, watch his post-match interview talking about their 'goal'.

If I'm being critical I'd say he lacks a bit of urgency, but that's the same with a lot of our lads.

It used to be that when he had Maguire in front of him he looked a much better keeper than he really was. He doesn't have that now and yet he looked much more like the rising star the academy told us he is.

Long way to go (no pun intended), but hopefully he's getting there.

Thought his distribution of the ball was good today too, hit it perfectly for Brayford to win the header everytime.

Looks to be getting better each game aswell which is great to see.

He kept a straight face pulling the ball down onto the line when it was about a foot over with the naked eye.

Time for the doubters to start seriously thinking: "This guy has genuinely developed"...

Perhaps the best George has played since his return, but by no means the first decent display he's made.

Be interesting to tot up the scores on the ratings over, say, the last 5 games - my bet'd be George would be top.

The doubters who have any idea about goalkeeping have always credited George with excellent shot stopping capabilities and reactions from close in. Where he has lacked it is communication, physical presence in the box, control of the 6yard box, concentration and therefore positioning and reaction on the opposition forwards coming in from around 35 yards. Alright that may seem mostly bad but some of it comes to you with age and experience. The jury is out for me. He's looking better than he was. I thought he'd never make it. He's making a better fist of it then last time. I would prefer somebody good he could understudy for another couple of years because I am still not convinced. I hope he makes it but in that position there is no room for sentiment.

I think that's about as fair an assessment as you can get.
