Put simply: this isn't good enough and we deserve better.

Serious question: how does Hecky now build anything even remotely competitive? With N'Diaye as no.10, he was THE link between midfield and attack. He was both the creator and the goalscorer. Five minutes of preseason shows that. He has been an absolute cut above, he's looked hungry and sharp. Hecky now needs to find creativity and goals, on fuck all budget.

I am not angry with N'Diaye, but I am very sad with the situation and I will lament not seeing him grace the grandest stage of them all, and watching on with pride as we see his many, many qualities shine through. What a player, I'm tempted to list his attributes here, but we all know them. He is a generational talent, world class, Christ, he's a lifetime talent.

Tell you what this is, this is Villa losing Grealish. You know any sum will not adequately replace his unique contribution and his world class style. Except, we're getting just north of £13m, not £100m-ish and so we can't split the spending across 3-4 players designed to aid a rebuild. We've also left ourselves sod all time on which to do it.

This also isn't a knee-jerk response to the N'Diaye scenario unfolding. This is much bigger, and longer-term than that. Simply, the club's leadership has been shocking. Yes, we've largely toughened up in the transfer market, for a period - but we have no visible leadership in the media, no mouthpiece, just expecting Hecky to shoulder more than he should in interviews. I can just about accept losing a star player, but what I cannot accept is the SHOCKING mismanagement of the overall squad - in terms of limited to no budget, a reliance on loans, and no discernible overhaul of the key members of the squad. That much is way, way, way overdue. With no disrespect, Fleck, Osborn, and others should no longer be central to the main squad. The reinvestment has been appalling, embarrassing. The current number of players due to be out of contract next summer is absolutely and utterly inexcusable. We're now in real danger of being ill prepared for the championship next season.

The issues with sponsorship or poor kit manufacturing via Errea are the icing on a shitely made cake. Exceedingly shite. Mr. Kipling would be proud.

I am royally fucked off that, on the eve of joining the biggest league in the world, there is now fuck all optimism, excitement or anticipation. We have reached the premier league with fuck all to spend, and far too much to do. We are weaker than we came up, this time or last. I'd go as far as to say, I expect us to set new records/all time lows, for time in possession, chances created, goals scored and points accumulated.

Darren/El Accounto: you can run all the polls you want. Here's your feedback: expect grief from the fanbase and soon. Expect unrest, apathy, uproar, disillusionment.

It's coming, the ugliness is coming:

It may be a tired cliche, but believe me, we're tired of saying it: FUCKING SORT IT AHT YOONITED.

Prince: lower your asking price and clear off, give us time and chance to rebuild. We deserve better.

Hecky was already fighting with 1 hand behind his back with the pitiful budget he was given

We still had a chance with a magician in the side - but we’ve sold him for peanuts and tied Heckys other hand behind his back, blindfolded him and tied his shoe laces together for good measure

Hope this is remembered and hecky gets some slack when we are cut adrift at the bottom of the league

Has Ndiaye been sold or preferably not sold, Nowt on SUFC Website but on another blades-related youtube channel he has gone to Marseille?

The Prince bought the club for £1. Maybe it's time the fans owned the club with each putting in a pound. On a serious note, bad idea, going off this forum no decisions would be made as no one would ever agree on anything!

Either way, he needs to lower his asking price and f*** off as soon as possible. I backed him in the past but I've never felt more flat, more fed up, less excited and more p***ed off going into a new season than I am right now, and this has nothing to do with the sale of Ndiaye, which could still be total horse crap.

We allegedly earn around £135mil for getting into the Premier League. Where is it? It can't all be on paying off players bought last time we went up, as we spent that money last time. Players took pay cuts when we were relegated and in the subsequent season when we remained in the Championship. Something doesn't add up and it smells rotten.

Hecky still has a five year deal in his back pocket he is not too worried

Brilliant that in the middle of a classic Blades shitstorm, the tweet mentions

'No kit/sponsor'

Let's really get to the fundamentals eh?

The pushing of Illy all over the pre-season build up and content/coverage is cruel, misguided and ill-informed now, too, seemingly.

True essentially trying to bait fans of both clubs. Even posted that picture of him and Hecky last night.

All I will assume is it has to be some daft offer to actually have us accept. Since we apparently rejected Everton's £25mil in January.

I think we played hard ball in Jan, to get promotion over the line, but the deal will be worse now, as even shorter duration left on his contract.

Difference is Grealish signed a 5 year contract with Villa in September 2020 so had 4 years remaining when he went to City. Unfortunately we not in the same situation - we are not Illi's boyhood favourite club where's he was willing to sign a big contract to later help a rich team pay a high fee for him. It seems like that is what we offered him effectively (stay with us a season and we'll let you go to OM/another team if they meet a decent release clause), but he rejected us.

this is massive blow to our survival hopes. as we all know he was integral to our hopes just hope the rumours arent correct & we werent let down by the club, trying being over ambitious. upset ndiaye for trying keep him for more than 1 yr as that wouldve been impossible.

all we can do now is trust hecky & hope we can reinvest

ive said all along its strange deal. players would give their right arm to play & even more so to be star man in the Premier league. & yet someone is giving all that up to play in according to co efficients the 6th best league in europe.

If, as suggested, he's turned down a better deal here in terms of pay, and passed up the opportunity of Premier League exposure and experience.

I think Ndiaye will be better than Grealish too. I think it's a backward move for Ndiaye personally. I thought he would have liked at least a season in the Prem. I thought he's body language, his salute to the fans was a farewell after the Preston game. I think he knew he would be leaving then. But the club should have been making contingency plans for that. Maybe we have and a star signing is in the pipeline. Haven't we put a £15 mill bid in for a striker from Metz?

Dem Blades has nailed it for me...

We've proposed a self-sufficient club model, but we aren't actually managing to achieve it 😂😡🤬

This
It’s not so much Illi going it’s the way it’s been managed, first offer he’s on a plane gone, same excuses rolled out by the club, this ship has been coming for over a year now, replacement should have been signed before he was allowed to walk, top dollar should have been achieved if not he stays.
Players leave and actually should be used as a positive for the club to reinvest make ourselves sustainable but we just bumble along head in the sands hoping everything will be alright, no doubt in a week or 2 someone else will come through the door that leaves us in a weaker position as we’ve had to scramble to get another new player through the door.
95% of our players could leave in the same way tomorrow due to the shocking mismanagement of playing staffs contracts, do we sell all of them if they decide fuck this I’m off, this totally lies at the prince’s door how ever you want to spin it.
