Dunno if there are any early bars near the train station, but if so then Chesterfield's actually a good idea, at least till the Howard opens. SYP might not appreciate a bunch of Millwall fans wandering round town looking for a boozer at 9am.

If you do go somewhere else in Sheff, take the tram or cabs from the station and don't broadcast it.

"eating babies" Am I missing something?

It can be a right pain at times, but it's a hard habit to break. More about having a laugh and a few beers with mates rather than the football. We have been absolute dog shit for years and years - well about 130 years to be exact. (save an odd season here and there)

My uncle Bert was a Millwall fan from Catford. Nice bloke.

PS You ever heard of a bloke called Tarquin (aka Tarqueen)?

Is there a strong racist element amongst your usual away support or is that a bit of a myth?

Got two very good friends from my Uni days coming to visit Sheffield and I'm taking 'em to the game. One is a British/Chinese scouser and the other is a British/Bangladeshi Arsenal fan.

Would quite like them to arrive/emerge from Bramall Lane without abuse being hurled at 'em by neanderthals!

I dont think it will take a Neanderthal to abuse a Scouser and an Arsenal Fan ...............................

Seriously, I wouldn't worry about it. I'm Asian and I've been going to BDTBL since 1980s. Pretty sure I've been to a few home games v Millwall before. I've got no qualms about going again this weekend. UTB.

I hardly ever see bother anywhere. But then I seldom walk down past the away end.... Worst I've seen are, unfortunately, Millwall. Though Cardiff, West Ham and Leeds are pretenders to the crown.

There is always the risk of an obnoxious racist sod in our own crowd too.

Is the junction of John St/Bramall Lane normally blocked off these days to keep home and away fans separated? I don't normally walk that way, but had occasion to do just that when we played Spurs in the cup last season. Got to the end of John St then realised there was a huge 10ft high wall stopping me from going on to Bramall Lane!

I think SYP will decide/ announce later in the week. They've done it for most derbies and millwall is perhaps the most likely for bother after last time (or the time before)

Yes, it's an ideal game for SYPD to wheel out their 'hate wall'. Plus, they'll let Millwall straight out to mingle with/assault families and kids. Overtime sorted! Kerching!

It's a bit strange as this game has been designated 'Turn Bramall Lane Pink' day. Can't see many Millwall fans coming dressed as Grayson Perry...

That's where the trouble was last time, at the cross roads - held us back while your mob went past throwing all sorts of stuff. This in turn led Millwall to break through the OB and confront the Blades and all hell broke loose for a good 10 mins

- Eating babies - well the press seem to think that that is our past time, so we play on it

- No more racist than any other fans, however our support is a little different than the usual away fans, no shirts, no scarves, no drum, very few women and kids, usually men with a larger percentage in their 40's / 50's & 60's

- Yes Isle of Dogs, across the river was our home from 1885 to 1910

- Yes West Ham are scum, and so many home fans sing that shit song bubbles to wind us up, in truth they just embarrass themselves
