Don't see the point, as when you take the delivery cost into account you're paying £4 for every programme. I'd rather just pick one up at the match as you then have the squads etc for reference.

But for those who want the programme's but can't get to any matches then it's a useful service

I subscribed last season, even though I have a season ticket and live in Sheffield. I am often late getting to the ground for midweek games and this took the faff out of trying to get one, when I am already rushing to the ground. It was good in respect that I collect them and they were a lot less dog-eared than buying them at the match. Having said that I often took them to the game anyway!

It worked well for Saturday games (arrived on the morning of the game), but for midweek games they often arrived the following day, so that was the only downside.

The cost was cover price with Cup games invoiced after the cup runs were ended. So United bore postage costs. In reply to the earlier comment, it may mean that the cover price is going up to £4 (?)unless United have taken the decision to pass on postage this year.

I may still subscribe next season as I might get my brother's programmes as well and it will either cost no more than buying at the match, or it will be cheaper at £3 a pop.

The cover price will remain at £3 for the forthcoming season.

For Saturday games the programme is delivered on a Friday which enables us to post them out on a Friday afternoon.

For midweek games the programme is delivered and posted out to subscribers on the day of the game.

Andy Pack, the programme editor, updates the midweek programmes to include the facts and figures from the previous weekends game, and to ensure that Kevin Blackwell and Chris Morgan's columns are up to date, which pushes back the printing and delivery of the programme.

Nice to see Rooks is on here. He used to lurk around on BU and provide some useful info from time to time.

Anyone got any tiling jobs for him?

cheers for the 1 star rating on the thread.
:D

just posted it for info really for any exiles who might have missed it on the OS, so Meh :p

I thought it was a very interesting thread. Especially for those who like to read the programmes but don't get there in time. 5* from me Sensi.

1 bad thing i can think about this is that if we all subscribed, we'd put the south stand programme seller out of business.

"3 pound ya match programme's, programme's 3 quid!"
