Hope this helps.

In a worst state than one of the richest club in the world?

McCabe out!!

Anyone know what colours we started out in??:D

Wouldn't have known BB. You're older than me you see.....

Did anyone watch Panorama last night, it was about the Glazers and how they are on their arse! More to the point, Man U are!

Interestingly, the talked about the American Football team that they own now being on its arse. Since taking over Man U they've paid the lowest wages and have gone from top of the tree to almost 6ft under...

The Glazers have knocked back bids from the LUHG backed groups so theres nowt Man U fans can do.

Don't you just love it... If I were the Glazers i'd start up selling cheap green and yellow scarves in Manchester... they'll make a killing in the next season

Tampa Bay may not be doing very well on the field but I would be amazed if that team is losing money. Owning an NFL franchise is a licence to print money, and they have the players over a barrell as far as salary is concerned due to non guaranteed contracts.

Thats what I thought... but they're now paying the lowest wages in the League and Panorama speculated that because of this, they'll be going down the pan soon... The NFL may be a licence to print money, but they also need money to be able to compete... right now they can't compete

Panorama is likely to be wrong. Given the salary cap, revenue sharing for merchandise and TV money, it's next to impossible for an NFL team to go out of business. It would take thier fanbase to completely disappear for years to do so.

The NFL may be a licence to print money, but they also need money to be able to compete... right now they can't compete

That may be right, but with no relegation, and high draft picks, and high player turnover, it's not difficult to come back with smart management (well, unless you're the Detroit Lions)

Not just that, but before the Glazers took over, The Buccaneers were right at the bottom of the pile (they didn't win a single game until their 3rd season!) and never came close to even making the Playoffs. Within 2 years of the Glazers taking over they had a brand new stadium and they won the Superbowl!

They're now the equivalent of a mid-table team but I'm pretty sure they're still pretty comfortable financially.

According to the Denis Clarebrough/Andrew Kirkham 'Bible', in the first year (1889-90) the team played in 'white shirts and blue knickers'.
The following season they adopted narrow red and white stripes, with blue knickers, but within a season or two they had adopted the more standard red and white stripes.

I'm sure Darren (aka 'Pervy Blade') would have approved of the knickers....

This might be better suited to the General Football forum but it seems to pertain to this discussion; Chelsea have apparently released Joe Cole and Michael Ballack because they wont meet their wage demands. Are these straws in the wind?
