The whole world is eagerly awaiting the return to their screens of Drogba, Rooney, Gerrard,Terry etc.

Bert couldn't give a toss, in fact he has cancelled his Sky subscription.
He would rather watch the likes of Morgan and Monty kicking lumps out of the opposition and not play acting when somebody does it back to them.

Balls to Man U Sky, Andy Gray, JT Ashley Cole and the rest of the tossers.

Up the Blades....a proper football team with proper men playing for them not a bunch of ballet dancing puffs.

Bert is going to his Gentleman's Club early tonight as the world needs putting to rights.........see you all at the Mecca tomorrow afternoon.

I dont really give a toss about it either and am sure ill have just as much fun watching united in the championship but i do have to confess that i do feel a bit bitter when i see wigan and west ham getting excited about signing big players and trying for europe

It's nice to be surrounded by "football" again, but as you say Bert, proper football is where it's at.

I'm well and truely fed up of all the news stories, articles and plastics at work all saying "Football starts again tommorrow eh?!" :)

Erm... no, it doesn't, it's already started.

Plus, it's been on the news that the revenue from the Premiership is stretching into the so-many billions of pounds and soon, they expect the revenue streams from around the world to dwarf the income from the UK.

Expect more mid-morning kick-offs to please the Asian customers... I mean fans!

Couldn't agree more. Have no interest in the cheats league at all. Stuff the lot of them and their psychofantic presenters.

I'm increasingly getting more and more pissed off with some of the Sky TV presenters too and there use of the word 'United' as if everyone in the world should know that they are talking about Manchester. Disrespectful cretins!

'Oh you've got United on wednesday haven't you, how do you feel about that'?
'Which United are you talking about twat? Carlisle, Peterboro....Southend'? Should be the stock answer ;-)

We ARE the original United as I pointed out to a manure fan last week when he tried to tell me I should get excited about the start of the PL. Cock.

My hatred of the PL started after the West Ham affair, I don't even blame West Ham anymore (at least not as much), just the shambles of the PL.

Watched Football Focus today and as usual they talked about Man City being challengers now. I really hope they don't click and come down.

I like the underdogs that don't have money and players to compete in the PL, the only way they can compete is by getting in the faces of the big 4 and they don't like that! Why not? its within the rules so deal with it.

At least the diving nonce has gone from man ure, but theres still the likes of adebayor that needs knocking down a few pegs

GRRR... BBC News just now

"Today is the day that most football fans have been anticipating. Yes, the start of the Premier League"

Well, let's just think about that statement shall we.

"Most" football fans?

I think you'll find that the majority of fans support one of the other 72 clubs in the football league, or indeed, clubs further down the football pyramid.

My take on this

Today is the day I don't give a shit about the premiership starting unless my two prm teams in my fantasy league team at work win.

UTB!
