No post match if we lose as I'll be getting into shin kicking

I would say that were probably more aligned to Sunderland than they are to Wednesday. Newcastle and Wednesday are more aligned but Newcastle a much bigger club than Wednesday. Both us and Sunderland are more often seen as the underdogs to their neighbours. Sunderland are more arrogant in my opinion though than we are but id admit they're a bigger club. Mind, it helps as I said before when there's just two teams to the north east, not including Middleborough because that's 39 miles away.

What was it that Wilder did that annoyed their manager at the Lane because he wouldn't shake Wilders hand which seemed odd to me.

Well that surprised me as I know a few Mackems ( one a very good mate ) and they are quite grounded & def have themselves as the underdogs . But fk me some of the pricks on there are on spice , deluded beyond belief !! Think they’ve missed the fact that their manager refused Wilders handshake after losing at The Lane .
Those quoting form tables on there are the most blinkered I’ve fkg seen .. they won one fkg game in there last 8 !!!! I really hope we fkg bury these now more so those with their pigs love in ⚔️⚔️⚔️

Ive played football quite a few times at the Nissan factory up there (not a bad football setup there tbf) and some of the Mackems there are amongst the most unbearable people I’ve ever met. I think they must have been the ones writing the first few comments.

Aside from that, don’t mind them.

'Give them 2 good games this season and the one at home could have been 5-1 Sunderland on another day.'

And on another day we could have hammered Hull 5 null, but it wasn’t another day was it, it was that day. You knob, Saturday is the only day that matters, 3-1 Blades

'They’ve spent fortunes and had parachute payments that they got because of over spending the last time they were in this league to get promoted'

Sunderland used their parachute payments to get relegated to League one, your point is?

Thanks for this Roy and the whole season, let Ben know that his TB vlogs on You Tube are also much appreciated.

Hope their players and manager are as over confident as the fans seem to be. The comments I've seen elsewehere and on here seem to be putting a lot of emphasis on the previous meetings this season. Both fairly pointless considering the squad we had available, especially for that away tie where we had a bench that would struggle in League 1. Th squad is at about as full strength as it has been all season (even without Souttar and Arblaster) and I'm hopiing this is what gives us the edge, similar to Leeds at home who were able to bring multiple starters off the bench to change the game. Wow there’s some fucking delusion going on there.

First XI better - that’s why we could have stopped playing on 8th March and you’d still not catch us.

Could have been 5-1. XG was 1.58 v 0.89 United’s way who had all the possession, more entrances into their box, more shots and more corners. So yes, not really at all.

Can talk all they want about mini leagues against teams they’re not going to play against. Fact is, over 90 minutes they’ve lost 6 of their last 7. That’s down before the Christmas tree form!

Hamer was voted best player in the league. Anyone tell them that?

Just the right level of deluded cockiness. Football Gods, you know what to do this time…

My post should have said Boro is 30 not 39 miles away! I think it will be very tight, probably one goal in it. If it's 0 - 0 after 70 minutes I'd bank on us winning because their bench is much weaker than ours. O'Hare and Tom Davies coming on could be a huge bonus for us. Isidor and Mayenda after 70 will be starting to get tired and their subs won't be as good. Mayenda worries me but he's only scored 8 goals this season. Mind, that's about the same as ours too.

Cheers Roymond!

Baffled by the confidence they seem to be coming into it with. It's nearly 6 months since we played them and we both took 3 points off eachother any way!

They were in their pomp while we were naming squads full of children, and they still only beat us due to a Robbo clanger. The missed pens cancel eachother out.

It feels like we've really 'clicked' over the last month of the season, and we arguably look better than we have all year. Meanwhile they're coming to a final on the back five losses and two cagey Coventry snatch and grabs.

Can't fathom how anyone goes to a play off final full of confidence, but it's especially odd in their case!

We're favourites for a reason and I'm still shitting it.

Confident lot, seems both sets of fans are going into this game with some belief.
Must be shit having Newcastle on your doorstep, way more sickly than our neighbours.

Hoping this one comes back to bite him in the arse.

“Moore’s scoring rate hasn’t been impressive and Sheffield aren’t as reliant on lobbing (or chucking) balls into the box like coventry anyway.”
