Why do so many fans think Clough is a knob. I know people don't tend to praise the opposition's management but there seems to be a theme of him being a prick in the eyes of the opposition. What did he do?

To be fair it's one fan calling him a nob on there isn't it. I can guarantee you that whoever comes to the Lane I could find you a Blade who thinks their manager is a nob (and in 99% of the cases it'll be ME!).

Had to laugh at this though:

As far as I could see there was only one seriously hostile comment about NC. Not a bad percentage considering, and it's born out of envy so there's no point in being concerned.

I noticed a comment about a gentleman's agreement being in place, presumably about Done not playing in tomorrow's fixture. I've not seen any mention of this and would be surprised if such an agreement existed. Anyone have any knowledge about this?

Which was in response to somebody saying he wouldn't honour an agreement (which is surely an imaginary one anyway, why wouldn't we play Done against them, he's our player?). I've never seen or heard anything about Nigel Clough before or since his arrival which makes me think he would ever be anything other than honourable.

Keith Hill on the other hand, wouldn't trust him as far as I could throw him

I imagine, based on no facts whatsoever, that NC wouldn't agree to a gentleman's agreement over Done. He'd be too dogmatic and stubborn for that sort of nonsense
