Unquestionably?

We're 17th. When he took over we were a midtable side with a very good defence and the bones of a decent midfield and attack, now we're 17th. Statistically we're among the bottom 3 teams in terms of performance, and anecdotally it's been some of the worst football I've seen in over 30 years. For the majority of the season we've played a passive low block, with an isolated striker trying to make something out of high balls. On the pitch we've been unable to defend well, control the ball or score goals. Off the pitch he's blamed injuries, the players, the media, the fans, it's never his fault.

Ashley is the root cause of everything wrong at the club, but, at the minute, he's doing all he can to sell us to the Saudis. Also, We've expressed our hatred of the fat tat-merchant for over a decade with no effect.

His boss just wants him to keep them up. No idea how he does it, but he does. 🤣

If a manager is taking us backwards, we're within our rights to say so, right? Kinnear, Pardew, Carver, McClaren, Bruce, and they're just the recent ones.
I could go back to Jack Charlton too. It's all down to your arrogance and the perception you're a big club, and therefore unless it's a renowned international manager, there's no support. You're a well supported club, but not a big club because you never win anything.

The only managers I can recall Newcastle supporting was Keegan and Benitez. All the rest weren't deemed good enough for Newcastle.

Before you say anything, we never win anything either.

You must have forgotten Robson, Roeder, Hughton, Shearer, and all the others until performances/results went awry.

Bear in mind, the only renowned international managers we've had are McClaren and Robson. Both were welcomed and supported. The former lost the fans by playing poor football. The latter lost the dressing room and subsequently the boardroom, plus a minority of the fanbase.

There's a bunch of stereotypes of Newcastle fans; that we demand Champions League football, that we demand world class players, that we'd rather lose 4-3 than win 1-0, that we hate cockneys.

It's all bollocks.

However you decide what criteria makes a big club, we have to be in the conversation, but being a 'big club' means nowt.
