Since I don't live in the area (I live towards Goole) are there any potential problems with the rain affecting this weekend matches? I remember the pigs ground being flooded a couple of years back but what about St James Park? It would be strange if one match went ahead but the other didn't.

I know! And the two grounds are only 254 miles apart, according to Google maps! It would be the first time that one part of the country had different weather to another part, after all.

I would hate for people to arrange travel and accommodation for this match only to find it has been called off due to a waterlog pitch.

Also, if the pig match went ahead and ours was called off, and they win, do we rest players for the PO or if the pigs match is called off and we will, they would be under a bit more pressure. Any news about the pitch at St James Park?

They win, ours called off - I suspect the FL would allow the game to be completely cancelled

We win/draw, theirs called off - Uproar when the FL promote us and tell Wendy to suck it in the PO due to being unable to provide a suitable pitch....
