What do you reckon?

Hadn’t realised we only have one home game in next 5. Only one big midweek mission though. Better get the screenwash filled up.

For me, I think 3 wins, 1 draw, 1 loss

10/15 and top of the league going into the derby

If Wilder don't down cobbler we can stake a place for a good go.

Leeds/Boro - 4pts, a tough job as they are tricky away fixtures but if we can play at least close to our best in both games we could get 4 points from those games.

Stoke/Bristol City - 6pts, both teams a bit up and down with their form but we should be able to beat them.

Blackburn - 1pt, difficult fixture for us in the last two visits, but both sides are much changed since our last visit, so not sure what to expect from that.

If we take 9 from that we will be in a strong position and we won't have anyone to fear in this league

No idea, but I think the unbeaten run will come to an end at Leeds.
They will offer something up front that we haven't really faced yet this season.
Home advantage, important they get a result, they'll be well up for it and I suspect have a bit too much for us.
I hope I get the piss severely taken out of me that evening though!!

We’ve had a relatively easy start, so it will be interesting to find out how we do against the better teams.

I agreee with the OP, 10 points would be good.

This form table is interesting, shows the points per games from teams we have played, taking in to account if the team we played was home or away and showing their points from those games.

Obviously a bit skewed, due to the smallish number of games.

Leeds a - D
Boro a - D
Stoke h - W
Blackburn a - D
Bristol C a - W

9 pts…. We will be very hard to beat this season….

That table suggests we have faced easier games than anyone else in the league , so puts our form into perspective.
The next 5 games are a punishing schedule with the gaps between them being 5 days , 3 days , 7 days 3 days.
Are Anel & Souza on 4 yellows ?
We need Souttar & Moore to return unscathed from their internationals.
Big test coming up but as of now we couldn't be in a better place to get through it.

Well I fancy us to turn the dirties over. They are still a bit up and down under Farke and the bottlejob vibes have kicked in early this season. Whilst they are ok up front, they will still have a job on scoring against us and their own defence seems flaky at best. I think the home advantage will work against them too, if we get on top.

After that I am not sure, but I can see us losing our first game by the time we have finished those fixtures.

I will for 3 wins and a draw, 10 points.

Think the fact that we have won most of the games skews it at this early stage, I’m assuming they count our results, so if we had lost the PPG would be higher.

I know we're a pessimistic bunch usually, and can completely understand why, but after the start we've had I'm really not sure why we're downplaying our chances over the next month.

The best teams over the years have been build on a solid defence and ours is as solid as you can get right now. IMHO we've got the best GK and the best CB pairing in the league. Added to that we've got a very capable RB and LB as good as anything else we'll come up against.

Our CM pairing again is as good as most. if not all, and the forward 3 are no slouches and probably include the best overall player in the whole division.

We won't win them all but absolutely no reason to doubt we can't come away with a good return. We're joint top and haven't even got into 1st gear in any of the games so far. Hopefully better opposition will mean we have to.

I haven't quite fully got my head around this one, but if we had lost to Watford they would be joint top, if we had lost to Norwich they would be joint 2nd, and if we'd lost to either Swansea or Derby they would be joint 7th.

So, had those 4 results all gone that way, we would be in the relegation zone but could legitimately claim we'd had a really tough start, having played 4 of the top 7... I think??

I think suspensions might unfortunately play a part in these next few fixtures?

Souza, Hamer and whoever else are flying close to bans. This may impact performances and results

We won't lose to leeds but boro will be the first defeat I fear .
The rest no problem but we have so many players walking the suspension tightrope we could be without key players shortly .
So long as we have a full squad for the pig game I cant see any issues except boro away .

We’ve the best midfielder in the division in Blaster and we will be fending bids off in the 25m/30 region in January

That was always likely to be the case.

So back to the next 5 games. What do you reckon?

On the list I saw , Anel & Hamer are on 4 but Souza is only on 3 which surprised me.
Souttar on 2.
My (imperfect) memory says Hamer has done some unnecessary fouls but Anel has been a bit unlucky.
