Points away against top 10

Last season we only achieved 4 draws away against the top 9 (we were 10th) which is a lamentable result - even Sunderland who were bottom got more points away at the top 9 clubs
So is this a refelction of CW tactics that we tried to attack too much unlike a lot of teams who sit back and hit teams on the break ?
Have we got the players to do this even ?

Saturdays match seems to be a reflection of this as the Swans were able to hit us with pace on the break despite our crap defending .
When we were 1-0 up shouldnt we have sat back with loads behind the ball and not take risks ?Yes its good to watch when we go for it but results are what matter !

Cardiff and Boro were very early, the rest were at the earliest post-Coutts (can't remember Millwall exactly)
