So we lost one nil with ten men for half the game. Not exactly a rout against third in the table

Micalijo gets berated for telliong fans not to get carried away. First game after our great performance we blow it. What's the stats at the moment, 1 shot on target? Never been in the game, never looked like scoring.
He was quite right to point out that Bristol were poor and our honey moon might soon be over. But oh no no, he's miserable, he's a sad twat and la de da. What do you have to say now Hippy and Judge? Happy with that performance? We'll bounce back in the next game? One game after the mighty win we fall flat on our faces. Tougher opposition and we are clueless of how to break them down. But of course it was ridiculous of Micalijo to point out that beating Bristol, 1 goal in 5 not won in their last 9 games, might not be a true signal of how we are progressing.
Yep - looks like the bubble has burst!!
Don't worry, I'll find another one.
And you're like the drunken saddo that resorts to mindless abuse because someone has posted a comment on a football forum.
I find all this name calling abosultely pathetic. Insults raning from telling someone to fuck off and saying you'll shag their wife to implying they are a manic depressive is just out of order. To be honest the culprits just look like planks and by calling someone a twat, wanker, neanderthal etc only present themselves as one. But this is not the point. The point is that people shouldn't be subjected to personal abuse.
ollesandro said:I actually think that Micalijo had quite a good point. Based on the evidence we should not be getting carried away. We beat a poor team in a one off exceptional performance. Does anyone remember getting excited when we convingly beat Palace at home? People started getting excited abut the football we played, Williamson and Harper in the middle of the park etc, only for us to be shit and negative in the next game at QPR!?
ollesandro said:People may think that I'm just sticking up for Micalijo because he is a fellow 'knocker' but this is not the case. I would do the same for a so called 'clapper'. The lack of respect for peoples opinions is awful.
ollesandro said:To be honest, I find a lot of Micalijo's threads and posts a little monotenous. If I want to debate I do so, but sometimes I ignore it because I think it doesn't warrant a reply. I am not getting all high and mighty, because many posters do the same. It's just a few spoiling it for anyone else. I can be controversial and from tiume to time upset people with my outspoke views, but i always try to (attempt to) tear people's arguments up in a constructive manner and avoid being personal and insultive.
We can't turn into Barcelona overnight. It needs to be gradual
Would you like to have a look at my posts? Did I say that Bristol City were terrible? Yes, oddly enough I did.
Did I doubt that we'd play as such last night? I didn't even pass comment.
Learn to sodding read, and grow a pair of balls. The lot of you.
Including the women.
None the less, I don't see that we can be said to have 'blown it', as some have described it, by losing at Forest. Does the win against Bristol C become irrelevant? Did those who were pleased with the win on Saturday declare that we would now certainly beat Forest and the world would change? Of course not. Hardly anyone thought we would beat Forest. The performance against Bristol C never suggested that.
What the performance did suggest was that Blackwell is prepared to have his teams play some football, and that he recognises that we actually have some players capable of doing something more imaginative than we had been doing so far this season, and given that people had become disillusioned with the style of football, that was important.
I thought Blackwell would change the side tonight, to something more defensive, and more direct. It wouldn't have been a popular decision (and would have caused him to get lambasted if we lost), but given the fixture and our current fragility when playing anything more expansive, it would probably have been the approach most likely to grab us a point.
My only worry from what happened tonight is that Blackwell was too much affected by possible fans reaction. Under Blackwell we have had a better record away from home than I have been used to in my years of supporting United. In his time with Leeds they also had a good away record. I think Blackwell has some ideas of the tactics needed to pick up points away from home, and while I'm pleased that he appears to have listened to criticism in the change of approach on Saturday, if we end up in a position where the fans choose the team, we'll get nowhere.
We can't turn into Barcelona overnight. It needs to be gradual, and there will always be compromise. In this division, you need to be able to take a direct approach, as well as being able to pass the ball, and there will be games when a mostly direct approach works best.
Forgot to quote this. Says it all really.
Gentlemen.
I have already told you to stop making things personal.
Any more from anybody and this thread will be locked.
I actually think, in between the jibes and insults, this has been one of the best threads on the forum for a while so it would be a shame to get it closed for childish insults.
Well we've got the red stripes.
I think I'll start taking Spanish lessons as step 2.
Been drinking again have we??!![]()
I have read your posts thank you very much. However, I shall no longer pay any attention to what is in them. There are plenty of intelligent people on this forum and I'll allow them to make a judgement on what they think about both you and I.
You tell me to grow a pair of balls, which makes me laugh. Real me (with real balls) are the one's who admit they made a mistake, that they got it wrong and come out and say sorry. The simple fact is that you were out of order in the way you treated Micalijo. Have you got the balls to come out and apologise and say that you shouldn't have started abusing him???
Ollesandro said:You say that I am unwilling to accept other people opinions and polarise things, which is completely untrue. I used the term 'knockers' in inverted commers to emphasise my point. I might be labelled as a knocker, but I want what is best for ther club and would love Blackwell to prove me wrong. Actually, I have to say that now I have absolutely no interest in your opinion.
Ollesandro said:This is all I'm going to say on the matter. I'm not going to wait with bated breath for you to come back with another angr, drunken and possibly abusive e-mail. Nor am I willing to get into a slanging match. I won't read your response, or any probably not any of your other posts again.
