I'm past caring. If we aren't flying by Christmas, there'll be a chorus of burger flippers explaining why, suggesting if we just used *(insert random wank player on his umpteenth chance) in *(insert randon burger flippers knowledge of the game) we'd be flying, followed by the sack next summer, and the forum getting over excited by the next appointment of *(insert random manager name) who has just got *(insert newly promoted 4th division club) promoted.

Fuck Off McCabe.

...make SUFC competitive, aggressive and tough again. I want BDTBL to be a bear pit not a soft touch.

Best appointment for a long time. Got a good feeling about it.

A big character, full of passion, playing football with of energy. Let's face it, that's Sheffield United in a nutshell.

It's got a good feel to it because as a person Chris doesn't divide opinion like previous blades Adams and warnock.

You've just had your "Blackman" moment for Manager dealings haven't you?

You must be more patient than me because you are quite a bit behind where I am but get there in the end :)

Please Chrissy Wilder .... first job, buy a big f***-off centre half who takes no prisoners, someone like Morgan or Maguire would do, second job get an effective target man who will chip in with a few goals but more importantly can hold the ball up, link in wingers, the other forward, midfield players, etc and can win his headers, someone who is the exact opposite of Sammon really. Third job, a midfield player with a bit of bite. All three of these players should have something about them, a bit of aggression, leadership qualities, ie a captain for each department of the team. Once you've got those essential players in, then the team might start getting somewhere.

Which (random team promoted from League 1) did Adkins promote weeks before joining us? Clough was at Championship Derby and Adkins had taken Southampton upto the Prem. The difference with Wilder is he took a team that were bankrupt and couldn't afford to pay the players and turned them around to piss the 2nd division by 16points weeks before the end of the season (hardly random). He's obviously got something. He knows Sheffield United, what us fans are like and has ambition. I fully agree with his appointment.

"We know the way we want to play, we want a high tempo, high intensity, attacking style that excites the fans ... That is the way we play, energetic, forward running with talented players, and we need depth, quality and options to do that for 50 plus games a season."

Sounds like Leicester or Tottenham.

And also like what Adkins said he wanted to do too. Hopefully though, CW will have more of a lower-league wheeling-dealing nous than Adkins had, more of a realisation of the actual circumstances rather than some idealised version of them.

This ^^^^

Can't see us going anywhere until he goes. I know it's easier said than done but he needs to be forced out.

He wants out, that much is clear. No-one wants to buy him out. How do you force him out?

Dear lord! Well it's either the blades or
Move to forest and let the chairman pick the side. Probably join them then!

Was at St Pancras station yesterday afternoon and saw Knill with Frank Clark. No idea what was going on and didn't even realise Knill was assistant to Wilder . When all hell let loose this morning , found out Frank Clark was chairman of Forest who are looking for a manager . I would say they are more unstable than us and that's saying something . Forget this bladey blade bollock , wilder will go were the money is and best contract for him.

He ain't here until he signs on the dotted line . Also McCabe could change his mind , if someone else throws there hat in.

We know what BDTBL is like .

Has Wilder definitely been appointed?

Not yet...as others have posted previously, he may well think McCabe is a **** who is going to shaft him over and so not bother...I think he'll go for it though mesen...'once in a year opportunity' :D

UTB!

I was a St Pancras yesterday, wearing a green velour jacket with peach carnation...small world eh?

I think if there was real hatred and a poisionous atmosphere aimed towards him he may think about cutting his losses and calling it a day. He shouldn't be able to step near the lane in fear of a backlash for where he's driven this club. Instead I get the impression he's like an addicted gambler who just needs one more spin for that big win and it'll all be ok i.e. with a promotion or two so he can claw his money back via an attractive sale. He's too confortable for my liking and with fans just calling for managers heads year in year out its deflecting where the real blame lays.

Got a plan? Love to hear it...

Like I said on another post on this thread he needs to feel under real pressure from us to sell. Protests maybe but at least verbally make it known he's no longer welcome. It may not work but he's got off lightly from a fans backlash point of view. Easier said than done like I said.

I'm afraid that I can't condone anyone orchestrating a campaign of hatred against McCabe. He's made some poor choices in the past few years (he's made very few good ones since the day he sacked Warnock and appointed Robson) but to try to bully him out would be something I could never support.

I think it would be good for the ownership to change but the people who would bully him out need to be careful what they wish for.

They remind me of the group of supporters who went down the front at the Swindon play-off and screamed at Nigel Clough to get out of our club because he was a useless cunt.

They got what they wanted. Look where we are now.

Their anger would have been better aimed at King kev. Hope he gets it right with this one but just can't see it, he's killing the club.

Mickey Adams did it twice. At Fulham, then Brighton, when both clubs were on their arses.

I can only presume that we have now employed every Nigel in football and theres none left. Now we are on to Chris's. This time next year....Chris Hughton anyone ?
