What. Style is there pitch ours is a desso, the pitch has been seeded before the artificial fibres are added as it is growing.pigs is opposite the fibres have been put in. With the pitch been seeded after. Anyone in the know what difference it. Makes I would like to know which is the best way?

My first thoughts are that I can't see how it would make any difference to the finished product. I would guess that the key factors are the type of grass and the ratio between real and artificial and its ability to drain properly.

No way would we seed ours before the fibres go in

The OP has a valid point here - the pictures from the pigs ground 2 weeks ago clearly show rows of plastic fibres being inserted covered by white tents.
Our pitch was all earth after week six and Monty's interview clearly shows growing grass in the background.
I posted a couple of weeks ago that the fibres went in 3 weeks before the Newcastle game, but it is an interesting point about why ours if different to the piggies.

Anyone actually know?

Ours is probably the plastic fibres to. Montys interview wasn't close enough to tell. No point seeding if there's no fibres for the root to wrap around

Well the Pigs wont have any trouble watering it. Most years it doubles as a swimming pool. :)

Here's an analogy that will help. Our Dresso is from M&S and pigs pitch is from Aldi.

Does that explain? ;)

The seeding or Artificial injections can happen in either order according to the Desso advert on You Tube.

The video used shows the Wembley process where the grass was seeded and growing and the Desso process taking place after.

Theirs has an extra spring in it so their forwards can get up for the hoofs forward

Thanks for the info Z

Was down at the Lane earlier this week and had a look at how the pitch was coming along. I was told the pigs started work on their pitch 2 weeks before us and currently (well up to Monday) they are a day ahead. Was also told their new pitch hit a couple of problems, one was due to the flooding a few years ago. They've ended up having to do extra work, pushing the cost up to around £1.5m, while ours is about half that.

Surely seeding the pitch afterwards will help to keep the soil and seeds and grass in place better?

When do we smash the granny prostitute's back doors in?

No problem. "The Massive" have plenty of cash.
