"Improving the pie offering."

What a time to be a Blade!

I am not going to be happy until they sort of out the matchday team news on Twitter!

Didn’t bother to do any for the 21’s derby at the lane what’s the world coming to

Read this earlier and I am having a pie tonight. I always think I am rarely swayed by advertising but maybe not now!

The full minutes are on here.

Automated beer kiosks sound very promising. They trialled one at Millwall last year and it got rave reviews. I'm unclear as to how they stop young 'uns buying themselves a few pints but I suppose that's not really my problem.

The system pours two pints in 30 seconds. That's half the time it takes for the numbskulls behind the bars to understand what you've asked for and run it through the till.

I thought they just pissed in a plastic cup and charged £4.50 for it.

We went to the fans park at The Hawthorns a few years ago. It was excellent, great food and beer, some good music, and then we won! Reyt day out!
If I'm honest I can't see it happening like that at BDTBL, but I'll try not to be too cynical and hope that it does!

Perhaps I missed it but who are these people, how were they selected, and what did they do to solicit input and ensure their feedback was representative?

Been to a fan park in Germany. Was excellent.

But the beer was cheap the bratwurst was delicious and also cheap and you could take your beer into the stadium.

For me regards the purchase of the land. Would like to see the firm up the development plans so that they can click go once the money is there.

That kop plan from McCabe days, sounds like that isn't on the table anymore. Currently it's at best removing the pillars.

But as many have said before in a way the south stand upgrades make the most sense commercially. To up the boxes, commercial and media offerings.

Mate if the pies actually have any content other than gravy and fresh air it’s a quantum leap for blades kind . A game changer . It’s the hope that kills you

Wouldn’t expect there to be any developments until we are established in the Prem.

They can put as many pie offerings on as they like but until they can cook them properly its a waste of time.

Last time I had a pie at the Lane, two actually but none eaten, was last year. First one taken back, second one taken back and swapped for a pint.

Both fillings were what you could only describe as a coal like substance in both look and texture.

What I find baffling at the Lane is that the concourse match day offerings are abysmal imho but the food I've had in the suites at functions have always been very good.

Whether it be a wedding buffet or something simple I've been impressed for a football club.

It might sound daft but the chips, pie and peas I had last year was probably the best of that type of stuff I've had anywhere.

Until last season, I’d not had food in the ground for years, but the missus from Ukraine loves the pies so we have to have one each game now. 🤦🏻‍♂️

Generally the pastry is blasted with fire from the Sun, but the meat filling, which can vary from match to match is still moist, like… well, a pie. But chuck enough Hendos on and the pastry can be battered to a pulp with a shit wooden spork. Tastes alright after that, but nothing like I’ve had in other grounds

As for booze, can’t drink the beer they sell as it’s so shit. Soft drinks don’t have any original versions, they’re all sugar free, so pointless.

Catering at the lane is as bad as I’ve had at a football ground so I’m not sure why these FAB’s haven’t mentioned it to bettis

Agree but what I'm saying is get the plans in place so we can press go when we can.

Those Hendo’s sausage rolls are that bad that they’re good.

Take a sausage roll that should be a bit soft on the outside but overcook it that much that the pastry flies 10 feet every time you chomp down, then add a sausage that looks like Neil Shipperley’s after a few hours in a white van.

Delicious

I went to one at Dortmund for an England friendly a few years ago. It was quality! I wanted to stay in the fan park and miss the match 😂

Could you please be kinder to our Front of House Customer Experience Executives.

German grounds tend to be out in the sticks so Fanpark fulfils the function our plentiful nearby boozers already provide.

Be interesting to see what any fan park offers to pull fans in. Different food & drink offerings? Music like they do at Pigland?

We went to the fan park at Palace away as when the coach eventually got there there wasn't really time for a pub trip. They had a big screen that was showing highlights from their age group teams, and the cheerleaders came out for a bit of dancing. The burgers were decent and they had an early bird deal on that made a burger and pint a reasonable price especially for London.

I don't think I'd really bother going that often to one at the Lane, especially as it's on the side of the opposite side of the ground to my turnstiles and the way I walk down, but can't see anything wrong with giving it a go.
