Just after you tell Hoofy to collect his P45

That is unless you want to watch our beloved Blades go further down the toilet.
I am not sure you miss the derby games that much.

Show some 'Nads and get the deed done - that is after you clear up the pile of shoes from the car park.

I know you are a loyal man, a man of integrity but please don't keep the blinkers on any longer.

Take your model from Blackpool. Ollie didn't have a large squad or a set of players that are world beaters yet there he is in the Prem watching his side put 4 past Wigan. Hoofy would have played one up front and still got spanked 3-0 - but then the fantasy there is that Utd would ever be playing Wigan again.

Amen to that mate!

Amen to that mate!!! But you and i both know thats not going to happen! McCabe is a great business man but its all to apparent he knows nothing about the football side of things, I like many others didn't agree with blackwells appointment at the beginning (same with robson) i think mcCabe was clutching at straws after the robbo fiasco and only chose blackwell cos he thought blades fans would welcome him in through his assosciation with Warnock! Blackwell is a bottler! Fact!! He bottled it with Leeds in the playoffs playing 4 5 1 and did the same with us against burnley in the playoffs and his tactics and choice of players baffles me. Its time to wake up Mr mcCabe and get the useless fecker out of our club!!!

Yes, phone him and ask him if he would like a job as backroom staff to Blackie!

For having faith in OUR boys?? I'm sorry I thought that was what a SUPPORTER was meant to do!!! Numpty!!

Faith in our boys is different to the manager, how idiotic can you get. I have every faith in the players. The manager on the other hand you must be an idiot to back

Can we stop calling people names purely because they have a different opinion please?

Faith in our boys but not the manager? some of them don't deserve it today and are very lucky we have a manager everyone loves to hate.

Short memories. Would you like Robson back?

My left bollock has more tactical nouse, football awareness, and general brain cells than nobson and blackwell put together

My left bollocks pube has more sense and general knowledge of everything, than your tiny brain

Satisfied with mid week and today Foxy?

Loved them both Kenilworth, fantastic way to continue pissing my money away. Do we ignore Cardiff?

Whatever we think of the manager, he's not the only one to blame for either... It's about time some of them on the pitch took responsibility.

We can talk about tactics all we like, tactics don't force someone to throw the ball to the opposition, to mis-control a ball.

However many posts we make about Blackwell, he's being let down by his players too.

I udnerstand where you are coming from foxy but either way you will see when a manger motivates his team correctly it can mean a world of difference, the lack luster performances without any heart that have been put in week in week out last season and look to be carrying on this season, is screaming out that it is the manager at fault.

Bringing kozzy on at 3-0 down at home is not a good susbstitiution in any sence of the word. There is no way i believe it is mainly down to the players and would be shocked if you think differently foxy

The players have no faith in the managers tactics,he turns half decent players in to bad.The fans have no faith,he is turning them away in droves. He should do the decent thing and fuck off taking ex-pig Ellis with him.

Why do they only have no faith in the manager when we lose? Why do they have the excuse to fail to do simple things correctly?

Isn't Gary Speed part of the same team as Ellis? shouldn't he go too? especially given that he appears to have a more prominant role?

Hat off to you Foxy. I have stopped pissing my pound away while we are playing Hoof.

However, I believe you are completely misguided. The managers tactics dictate how the players perform.
If the players don't have the belief in the manager they will not play for him.
Those players are well capable of playing proper football. They are constrained by the negative, fearful, direct tactics they are forced to work to.

Cardiff - I was just saying before Evans scored that we looked second best. Then after the sending off it was backs to the wall stuff - the lads showed some guts to hold on for sure but then they must be training every week using the same tactics because that's how we set up every away game. I believe that if we had remained with 11 men then Cardiff would have won in the end because Hoofy would have tried to protect the lead and we would have been caught napping somewhere down the line. The sending off galvanised the team to concentrate more. Cardiff were also a little rusty. They have done the busienss again today.

However, I believe you are completely misguided. The managers tactics dictate how the players perform.

Is it truely misguided to expect a player to not use our throw in's to simply return the ball to the opposition regardless of the tactics?

Are the tactics to blame for them giving up? Yes their morale and management has an effect, but regardless of this they are paid very well to do a job, they have responsibility to not simply give up.

If the players don't have the belief in the manager they will not play for him.

Have they lost their belief since the Cardiff match when they put a decent shift in then?

Those players are well capable of playing proper football. They are constrained by the negative, fearful, direct tactics they are forced to work to.

I find it hard to believe they are forced to stand still or mindlessly hoof the ball.

Still, it's all pointless now anyway, he's gone.

I stand corrected! I am so happy!!

Yes get O'Neill supply him with hundreds of millions and blow your wage budget. When he fails and you ask him to reign it in a little wait for him to walk.

That's before we get onto the fact that we are a little below his current level.

According to reports in the papers (which we all know are true as they are in the papers), the reason O'Neill went was because he'd lost the dressing room by using outdated tactics. Do we really want a manager like that?

I'm pretty certain it was linked to budgets. He had spent more than everyone else baring City and Tottenham on net transfers and his wage bill was too big.

Anyway this is silly, we are getting well out of our league here.

sounds like blackwell!

Bad idea going for O Neal imho. He'll only get fed up because all we want to do is criticise.

no,not really, weve just got rid of one of those

Leicester is The Example to Follow

no,not really, weve just got rid of one of those

I am thinking more of what O'Neill managed at Leicester rather than what he has done at Villa.

There is one thing getting Leicester to the top division and winning the Legue Cup but guiding a top 6-8 club like Villa into the top 4 is a completely different matter. O'Neill does better getting players to perform better rather than having huge wads of cash to buy players to make the team improve.

Wher would O'Neill go from Villa - another top prem side? Don't think so.
Somewhere with huge potential? Perhaps.
If he goes back to the media and sits on the couch with Linaker et al then he will be hiding and may never get another job. How many clubs are there with a stadium and facilities like ours with the potential to push forwards with the right investment? Not many.

Having said that Phil Brown might fancy a crack at it and on the face of it he has the right potential after what he did with Hull. Not sure he would be the footballing messiah though. I see him as something similar as Hoofy but just slightly more irridescent.

Unless we unveil Malaysia's richest and most spendthrift man as our new director, Martin O'Neill won't give us a second look.

Not sure about Phil Brown's style though. I thought he was generally attacking by preference, despite his Big Sam connections?

not when hull were promoted he wasn't. Big no from me for Brown.
